It was via the 800 customer service, they had to get one of the designer specialists on the line to help so it took a while but it was worth it. I saw a few weeks later that they ended up dropping the price to match the other sites

Question - What is the time period limit that Nordstrom will adjust price of a purchased item? I bought an item 2 months ago from Nordstrom (haven't worn it; tags still attached), and the same item is being sold for 40% less on Saks (albeit a different size). I tried to get Live Chat to adjust the price, but they refused. Is there any way around this? I almost feel like just returning the item.
Their return policy is great so I would return and rebuy. But yea I believe it's 10 days pricematch.
If you have a relationship with a SA they may help you out. Is the item still showing in stock? I got a few things at Saks this year for alot less on sale than I saw them at Nordstrom.
Just tried calling the 800 number to price match an Alexander Wang Rockie. Designer Specialists aren't in until 4am PST so I'm going to try calling back then.
The other retailer has a brick and mortar store but the bag on their website is actually out of stock. Does anyone know if I'll have better luck calling, doing Live Chat, or asking an SA at my local Nordies?

They won't match the item if it is out of stock. They typically match the bigger retailers and not online boutiques.
Went to my local Nordies and they were able to price match AzaleaSF.com even though it was sold out. Got my Rockie with rose gold HW for $255 off!
I was told by my SA today that it's 2 weeks to do a price adjustment. She said if it's a little over, that's okay too. So if you have a relationship with any SA or ask nicely, they might do it for you
Hi thefinchster, was there still a sale price shown on the out stock item at that website you were price matching. I'm trying to do a price match but my item doesn't have the sale price anymore since it was sold out .
