**NORDSTROM Price Match Discussion Thread**

I saw a AW rookie bag at neiman marcus and they were have a gift card sales where you purchase a specific amount of money and you will get back a gift card in 2 weeks. The handbag was 795.00 and if i spend over 700, i could get a $200.00 gift card after 2 weeks. Has anyone done a price match with gift cards through Nordstrom? Like would i be able to get a price match and get an instant savings of $200.00 from nordstrom for the bag? The event has ended since Monday, but wanted to know for future reference. Thank you.

I don't think they match the GC offer, they normally honor %off or $ amounts but that's it.

I have yet to see Neiman's mark their bags down as far as Nordstrom's. They are always higher priced on clearance and sale items.

I agree nordstrom usually beats Neiman's with there sale pricing. Even at the outlets. If anything I find that while neimans last call may have coupons the already marked price at nordstrom rack usually beats their after coupon price.

I prefer Nordies hands down and even though I have Neimans, Barneys and Saks within 3-5 miles I stick to Nordies because I get such a better deal and their CS really is unbeatable.

Have you seen the pricing difference with Nordstrom Rack and Off Saks Fifth? NR is so much cheaper, especially the handbags. For example, Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini is only $250-$260 at NR, but at Saks, it's NEAR $400! Even with the 30-40% discounts, the total is close to NR's prices. It's ridiculous!

I only shop at Off Saks if I wanted to buy some Wildfox clothing or when they have a big 40% off or BOG2 sale, that's about it.

Agreed. Same goes for NR compared to Bloomingdale's Outlet and Last Call. The only way the ever come close to beating rack is with a coupon. I've seen identical items at the rack and those other stores and the mark up compared to the rack is significant.

Today I asked if they would price match Neiman Marcus and they refused I called four times before just ordering from Neiman Marcus. It was for the Manolo Hangasi(sp?) pump. I was able to get almost $200 off at Neiman's. Today Nordstrom lost a customer

They said they cant accept special promos only if the item is on mark down, they even saw the promo but refused.

They usually won't meet the price if your size/color isn't in stock etc.

Nordstrom price matched a Fendi 2jour bag, they were selling the brick color $100 more than everyone else. I was also able to use $80 in Nordstrom notes too and on top of that I used my 10points/$ day!

It was in December
