Hello??? Anybody there? I just got back from a week long trip to Paris with my girlfriend (husbands stayed at home! :ghi5:) and was wondering if anyone was interested to see some of the clothes, jewelry, scarves, and one new bag I bought and also how I'm going to integrate my new purchases into my scarf wardrobe! I didn't go crazy and buy a lot of stuff - I was pretty selective but I'd be happy to share if there's interest in getting this thread going again.

Yes ofcourse!
Can't believe you didn't go nuts in Paris in your shopping [emoji4]

Wahoo - of course we want to see MYH! Please post soon - can't wait!:woot:

Ok rather than throw everything I bought into one photo and saying Voila! I thought I would tell a little story about each item and show you how I plan on using it and incorporating it into my wardrobe. And if you all don't mind, I will also show you how I plan on using non-H items I purchased with my H items.

Ok let's begin our little journey in the U.S. with scarf packing. As you all know, Parisian women probably have the best scarf game in the world. Their level of skill and expertise is just beyond. So with that in mind, I probably overpacked scarves for this trip. I have a bit of anxiety leaving home without my favorite scarves. So here are scarves I packed for the trip.

Now to be perfectly honest, I didn't use all of them. On the airplane I used my graff cashmere and my tosca evelyne along with some magenta street sneakers.

For dinner the first night, I used my Astrologie nouvelle 140 giant silk. I can't remember what I wore each of the other nights but I do remember I used my tous les bateaux, coupons Indiens, sieste au paradis, instructions du roi cashmere and cavalleria cashmere on the trip. So in actuality, I only needed to bring 7 scarves instead of 13. oh well!

Now onto what I saw on the streets of Paris! So the one observation I did make while walking around is that French women are not overly fussy about tying their scarves. I saw a lot of the European knot like this on men and women

And the simple, wrap it around your neck once and bring the ends in front and tie a knot.

So sometimes I think we put way too much effort into mastering complicated knots when simple ones will do! So don't worry if you don't have the dexterity to make the friendship knot, I don't think French women do either!

On our first visit to George V, a female SA in the store looked tres chic wearing just a black sweater and black pants with black loafers and a bright 90cm scarf around her neck. The tie looked kind of complicated and we couldn't figure it out so my friend and I asked her if she would show us how she tied her scarf. She said with pleasure and proceeded to show us the very simple way in which she knotted her scarf. It was deceptively easy and I'm going to show you guys in my next post how she wore her scarf. I added a small twist to it for a slightly different a more secure tie so I will show you both!

It was hard to control myself! Trust me. I kind of had an idea of the big purchases I wanted to make before I left. And left myself some extra spending money for impulse buys. I will share all.

Yes please! [emoji112][emoji112][emoji112]
OK, thanks for letting me know you're interested!

LOL. I would actually give myself a C for packing! I always bring too much. :lecture: At least I wasn't over the baggage weight allowance on the way back. I was holding my breath when my suitcase went on the scale. :lolots:

A trip to Paris-- I love this thread! :woohoo:

MYH, I feel your pain. I always pack twice as many scarves as I end up wearing. I hate leaving home without my favorites. Because, just in case.

#2 is the ONLY way I wear my GM's and was feeling bad for not taking the time to be more creative with my scarves! Hearing this makes me feel so much better and also more chic, here I was being all Parisian and didn't even know it!!! [emoji12]

I will fess up that I was MyH's traveling companion. She writes so much more eloquently than I do so I will let her tell the stories. Even I am enjoying reading them and I was there. [emoji4] keep going MyH!!!
