MYH Forgot to mention a couple of favourite 70cm styles .
J'aime mon Carré : I do a thin bias fold, single knot 10cm from one end, sling round neck and thread other end through .Looks like a mens tie , but nicer [I don't care for the mens tie technique too much though it looks v similar]

F and F de Texas Permabrass Mors 90cm

Both styles best with low neck , and the first looks fab in neck of a shirt too .

Anyone remember the beautiful Charlotte? Her blog Scarfmoodist is full of flair and she has great 70cm ideas .
FrouFrou dear, how about a square knot for "j'aime mon carré"??

Thanks for your suggestion TT. You know, I have watched almost every single one of MaiTai's videos but I never tried the snowball knot. But I grabbed my scarf ring and tried it out with one tail much longer than the other (don't know why, but I prefer it that way) and although I don't love love it, I do think it's an option. Strangely, I just think some knots go better with my style than others.

Ooh - a CSGM is even better! I bought one at one point but released it to another home because I decided the bright orangey/coral border was too much for me. I had the one with pinks, oranges, and soft yellows. I don't think I have ever seen you model your Compass CSGM, care to show us? :wale:

You have 3 twillies! :woot: I'm not sure where I was when the twillies came out but I have ZERO twillies in Rose de Compass. :no-good: I think I might have been having a nervous breakdown about building a pool and remodeling our house at that time.

Lanit - a perfect scarf for a snow globe lover! I'm sure once she figures out how awesome your H scarves are, she will claim it as hers.

Yes Bova, at this point, better to wait for holiday pricing to subside with holiday scarves. Good luck in finding yours eventually. And yes, thanks for reminding me about BirkinMary's sideways cowboy with necklace over it. That's one of my favorite ways to wear both a 90cm and 70cm and somehow I forgot!

Here's my attempt at snowball knot and sideways cowboy.

Oh, the sideways cowboy is perfect! And your farandole.....DROOLING. This is a great look, MYH!

Klynneann, me too. I'm so sad I missed this one so I have three twillies instead. There is a very bright 70 still online but I'm not sure about it. It has been in my wishlist forever. Can we see your csgm?

Sorry for the delay! I got home too late last night. And sorry about the lighting too - this is the brightest spot in my house! Here is my Rose de Compas CSGM. I love these colors (it's a little brighter than it seems in the photos)! I was so lucky to find it - it's done a fair amount of traveling with me since I got it. This is the first time I've shared it on tPF (not for any particular reason - just never got around to it I guess). :)

Dear MYH and other Ladies, you are such enablers:
Reading what you wrote about Astrologie nouvelle - a companion for travelling... - the tutorials, the pictures: time has come to join the 140 silk club.

I tried Mors et Gourmettes Remix for the first time in September, the SA at the duty free suggested it, but I was unsure about the CW since is is rather cool. And the pattern seemed so "anorganic". Usually I tend to like nature themed and cute scarves.
But I liked how the heavy silk felt on my chest (no plume, the label read winter silk, it feels a bit softer that the regular twill, but I think it is the same).
A few days ago I saw it at the store, wanting to try the darker cw21 (not available), left it at the drawer. The next day I went back and got it. It is so nice around the neck when it is cold outside. Very different from the CSGM feeling. And funnily it feels much more casual than the 90ies...

So I spent some time playing with it, taking photos with my phone. I suck at taking selfies, the tails are wrinkled, but I had so much fun. Look what you made me do:

Thanks for letting me share :smile1:

HoneyLocks, I love this cw on you! And you have tied it just beautifully. :smile1:

MYH, these look lovely! This cw works so well for you!

And here's a bonus Rose de Compas post for you :giggles:
Omg. You know what? I totally forgot I did get a rose de compass twilly. In fact it's the same cw as the one to the far right in your pic but I gave it to my little sis! That's why I don't think I have one. Oy! My memory is failing me. Love your collex K and your CSGM! What other hidden beauties do you have in your closet that you have not shared with us?

I thought I remembered you having one of the same RdC twillies I have!

Um, well, speaking of holiday scarves, I have a couple *cough* Neige d'Antan Detail 90 cms...

You r holding out on us! Let's see em! How many Neige's? Spill the beans. :woot:

Um, so this one just arrived this week. I love this cw - it's a little more "traditional" - and the price was very right. I apologize, I have the worst memory - I forget who it was who did a DIY "framing" that I completely copied! Hers looked much better - I don't love how the magnets look on mine. I think I was supposed to use silver fabric magnets, but I couldn't find them... As you can see, it hasn't been hung yet (it's been like that for about 2 months now lol). It's supposed to go on the wall right above where it is. Eventually. :D

This one I purchased towards the beginning of this year, from Jan (who is just wonderful!). I love love this cw!! I think it's just spectacular. This is my first jacquard scarf as well. I guess it was purchased in Paris because the accompanying "exchange" card is in French, and the tissue paper is different from what is used now (though that may be a timing thing, rather than a location thing). It just seems a little more special because of it, though maybe it's all in my head lol! And isn't it funny - the original Neige d'Antan scarf doesn't really speak to me, but I love the Detail. :smile1:

Oh, and I have my eye on another one, for my mom, because the price might be just right.

I love it! The colors are beautiful!

For the twillies I have the second and third and one you don't have, but not the others. [emoji4]

I think it's fine to have one or two that become 'yours'. Some knots look so stuffy on me but totally elegant on others. I've been wearing my 90s almost everyday as headbands for the last 3 months :D

BTW, this RdC looks like it was meant for you

FrouFrou dear, how about a square knot for "j'aime mon carré"??

Love this my dear JmC twin, and so stunning with your top :woohoo:

Also a beautiful cw, so much like a stain glass window
