Nah. It's all up to different skins. I know there's some comparison pics showing Italy looking shiner, etc. But honestly if Italy was better, why are there matte or dry looking Jumbo's when they are primarily from Italy? You can find amazing pieces still from both. You just may have to look a few first, which is a shame.

I have never seen an MII M/L ever in at least 7 years on this forum.

Thank you. I am happy to have found the color and hardware I wanted. I suppose I was suprised that it wasn't made in France since the medium that I have was. I don't know why I thought the classics were mostly Made in France.

You may be right! My BLK CF in M/L and the old med Boy Bag from 2015, they are both MIF. I just received red Chevron CF M/L today and that is also MIF :smile1:

There are some comparison pics for MII and MIF right on this thread for m/l.

And last few seasons of MIF were simply dry, plasticy and dull while MII were really black and puffy.

You can find them here on the forum! I've seen at least 6-7 really sad MIF medium within the past 12 months! Very different from my medium flap from 2013 MIF.

Shipments come from different countries all the time from classics. From my experience of hunting down a perfect one last year, US could be getting MII for a few shipments then all MIF for next few shipments.

I consistently see the difference in quality in m/l, minis and wocs. Returned 14B caviar MIF mini for they all came with dents and caviar was very soft. 15C pearly gold caviar also MIF so same soft caviar issue but not as bad so I kept it. Some other colors of 15C were MII and super puffy no issue at all. Last year I was on a mission to find black caviar shw woc. Returned at least 7-8 black OOV all made in France with quilts ironed flats, dull and plasticy. Until later of the year US finally got MII black OOV wocs in. Consistently better and puffy than MIF. My 14S and 16C black caviar minis were both MII...identical quality though 2 years apart. All the pics were posted in this thread a few pages back

But the Caviar especially seasonal can be a bit different too. I do remember those 15 mini's looking a bit smooshy, but then that supposes that every single one I saw was MIF. I agree that the 14S & 16C rec minis were some of the best looking quality wise I've seen. The rec mini's don't always look so great in general, I find. Not made with the same structure, etc.

I understand that you were looking at several and that was your experience, but I still say it's down to the individual skin. I don't think Italy does one thing, and France does another. Like I said then how does that account for the Jumbo's people complain about when they are mostly MII?

I've not seen complaints about MII jumbo but consistently seen issues with MIF m/l, minis and wocs with my own experience and listed enough examples


MII consistently to be much better in the past few years tho I've not seen any issues with older MIF flaps.

You don't have to believe but pics are all posted on the thread.

Minis are seasonal items but the caviar quality issues aren't just seasonal. Otherwise we won't have a thread where ppl complain about quality so bad for new caviar.

Sometimes I look at my Made in Italy jumbo in Caviar and think it's quite dull. However, over time I'm noticing with wear it's becoming more shiny. The quilts are SUPER bouncy though which I love; the quality is just unbelievably good. I wanted a Made in France one initially, but I have a love affair with Italy already so when she pulled it out... it was meant to be. :heart:

bought mine in London a week before the price increase. To be honest I didnt know where my bag was made all That mattered to me was Im finally getting my dream Chanel bag :) I checked it recently and it's made in France.

I bought my beige jumbo which was Made in Italy & had a choice of the M/L size which was Made in France , but the size was more important to me .
I'm hoping to get a classic black lambskin in M/L size & made in France !

WHAT!!!! this lady is CRAZY... The nerve of her!!! you know with my expierence with different Chanel stores and staff I know there are many that didn't go to (CHANEL COLLAGE) hahahaha
If it makes you feel better I have gotten super rude buyers on EBAY.. they have contacted me to say something is FAKE and it really does hurt because I pride myself in buying my luxury items am the only owner of the items I sell and I provide receipt.. If she thinks its fake then its her opnion and she should not threaten you otherwise. you should report her.. even though EBAY is always on the buyers side.. GODD LUCK
