Its actually really sad that happened. Unfortunately, I also had a bad experience there. I was buying my first ever LV so I wasnt sure about the bags. My boyfrd n I walked in and when we started asking abt the bags, the skinny asian SA was being so rude. Almost implying that y r these ppl even here when they dont kno anything abt LV. I felt so bad. Anyways, I ended up getting my Neverfull tote and I love it but I wish he was a little nicer :(

I went this past Tues and he was there. He greeted me nicely and helped me as I was picking out items. He insisted I try different bags that i was eyieing on and didnt seem miffed that in the end, I "only" purchased a Vernis cles.

This was my 3rd visit to that store and my first encounter with him and he was really nice...maybe I got him on a weird day??

Or maybe he was sent to Customer Service Training... :D
I'm happy you had a great experience!

Sorry some of you have had a bad experience at Yorkdale. :(
I was very lucky to run into one SA who was very helpful, polite and kind to my bf and I. I went the day just before the price increase and I was dressed very casually with a Longchamp bag. I looked at several LV bags, trying them on in front of mirrors, and as he pulled out each bag for me.. he would tell me a little history about the bag and the new price that it'd be tomorrow. The SA would put random bandeaus, charms, etc on the bag.. telling me what would look good with it, what he thinks about it on me and random facts as well. He was so patient to the bagaholic me, haha.
When I bought my bag, he was shaking my hand and kept congratulating me. He's such a nice person and talked with us for a long time, wrapping my bag up nicely and everything. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post his name, but please give me a PM if you need a nice SA at the Yorkdale location!

I dont have PM yet... can you post it? Im sure a helpful SA wouldnt mind be recommended (the bad ones might not like their names on here! haha). I am going to LV Yorkdale in a few weeks to purchase a Keepall 50 ebene and the ebene international wallet and just want to know which SA i should try and deal with. I called last week to see if they had stock and I spoke to a woman named Jen. She seemed very knowledgeable and very nice on the phone. I am going to try and deal with her, but just wondering if she is the same woman that all of you are describing as this very helpful, nice SA? Thnks.

Please to LV a favor and send a polite, straight forward letter to corporate explaining in detail the actions and words of any sa that acts in any way close to the stories I am hearing from this thread. Sighing when asked for more bags, to locate a bag, raising their voice at a customer, raising their voice at other sa's, disciplining a sa in front of customers. Questioning a return or exchange when it was a defect. All deplorable. If you want to fast track it call a sister store and get the name and email of the district manager AND regional managers.
Just the letter as to the point as possible send it to the district manager and if you dint get a satisfactory response in 3-4 business days. Forward to regional with polite note that maybe this poor attitude is also reflected by the district manager.
There is absolutely no reason for an sa to behave like these stories.

His name is David A. I hope you have a good experience shopping there later on! Good luck~ :)

Please excuse my errors. Darn iPad auto correct. Going to make me lose my mind ( ahem and years of education- lol).

I've never had one good experience at the LV Yorkdale, whether I am making a purchase or not. I was looking at agendas just the other day and no one seems to be willing to help me out. Everyone just looked at me while I waited at the counter. The whole store was empty. I made some small comments to my BF of the dry, lack of lustre leather and the cover being poorly sewn. The SA kept intruding our converation, emphasizing their quality is great and will last forever (yeah right), as if I don't know anything about LV. My BF decided to buy it, but after rethinking about what I've said, he returned it for a Hermes agenda.

I'd never ever buy from any LV in Toronto anymore. LV boutiques now in Hong Kong have much better training IMO.

Sooo...I went into Yorkdale LV to finally get my Eva. When I walked in, my SA was uber busy. I wanted to wait, but ponytail guy/Jozef was there as well - and not busy. I pretended to browse as I waited for my SA. But after a while ponytail guy comes to me and asks if i needed any help.

I stated I wanted to look at the Eva clutch and to compare how monogram vs damier ebene looked on me. He told me all the ebene were sold out and that they only had mono. I guess little did he know that I spied ebene Eva hanging daintily on display in the store. I thanked him and began to "browse" again to wait for my ever-busy SA.

Pony tail guy comes up to me again...so I point out the ebene. He apologizes so many times and tells me it is the only one in the store and that they won't have any for almost months. So I bought the monogram Eva.

During the car ride home, I'm feeling buyer's regret and decided I really want the ebene. So I went to Holt's downtown T.O. - got there about an hour after my purchase at Yorkdale.

The SA there was really nice but told me, after looking in the computer that Yorkdale LV had EIGHT Eva ebene in stock. WTF!?! I WAS JUST THERE!! Needless to say, Holts downtown was out of stock and she redirected me to the LV boutique several blocks west. I went there - and fortunately without any question or hassle - was able to exchange mono Eva for ebene Eva.

I don't know if what ponytail guy did was intentional or not, but I was so embarrassed when the downtown Holts SA told me there were actually 8 in stock. I felt like a manipulative liar. I'm not!!! I'm not having ponytail guy at Yorkdale LV help me again. I'll leave and come back. Or shop downtown.

After a LOT of bad experiences at yorkdale , I decided to never step in. All the Asian ladies don't help unless you LOOK like a millionaire ....

The guy with ponytail has attitude.

If I'm gonna spend on LV and want good service, the bloor boutique is my favourite location

Well said, I have no stepped in LV Yorkdale since August 3rd of last year after being treated terribly as a customer.

This thread is hilarious.
Misery loves company, am I right?

Yorkdale LV is pretty ridiculous, though. I've never had a real problem with ponytail guy, but then again, I avoid him like the plague. I do have an issue with the SA Matthew (not Asian Matthew but Caucasian Matthew) who once helped me (and I use the term 'helped' very loosely) with a repair on my Sirius 45. He sighed and rolled his eyes throughout the ENTIRE transaction and every question I asked was met with a response in the same discourteous tone he used to greet me when I walked in. As if I was wasting his time because I wasn't buying anything and was merely spending a couple of hundred dollars to have my bag repaired.

Lesson learned. I don't take to this type of behavior very well, so unlike some people who keep coming back for more, I will never set foot in the Yorkdale LV ever again. Bloor St. is my new best friend.

Matthew now works at the LV on Bloor (in Holt's, not the flagship store) he left Yorkdale...just giving you the "heads up" - not sure what Bloor St location you were referring too

Thanks slang! I've only ever visited the flagship, so this only further solidifies my loyalty to that location! I might pay the Yorkdale store a visit now, since I do enjoy the mall itself.
