The SA have so much attitude there because the manager doesnt set an example. The long hair, skinny manager there is the rudest guy on earth. Last time, i came in to ask for an exchange for my vernis alma because there were something wrong with the stiches. He was yelling at me so loudly "everybody wants to enjoy the brandnew bags too, u cant come in exchange for another one like this. Others will have to get your old bag?" in the middle of the busy store. Everybody turned around looking at me. Omg...i was so embarassing. I almost broke into tears. Am I not a client? Do I not deserve a brand new bag. And I brought the bags back just 2 days after with tags and receipt. After that, I never came back to that location again. I always shop at the main boutique on Young and Bloor where they treat me like a queen even though I dont spend a large amount of money in a year. The tall, older male SA at Young and Bloor is so nice and helpful. He always calls me by name and get me water when I shop there. When the bags i wanted were out of stock, he tried to get one for me as soon as possible. Yorldale location has the worst customer service. I thought the manager would know better, but he is the worst of the worst.

^^^ There is NO excuse for almost making someone cry when they are spending that amount of money! If that happened to me, you could bet my cell phone would be out in a second- dialing corporate right in front of the manager's face. Perhaps he would like to explain why I feel miserable during my shopping experience?

OP, no matter what the case, you deserve good customer service. No SA should ever forget that you are a living, breathing paycheck to them.

I'm sorry to hear that you got such bad service at LV in yorkdale.
I live in vancouver and I never had a problem with the lv store in holtrenfrew!
I have an excellent SA that I go to!
Hope this doesn't happen again!

LOUIS VUITTON YORKDALE- AWFUL! So I went in to exchange my neverfull for the second time, the first one I got was faded out (like it had been out in the sun too long) the second one the straps were a different color than the rest of the bag. So I walk in today to get another neverfull and the sales associate (tall skinny, XXXX) tells me my bag is USED , when I just got it 2 days ago, because there was ONE HAIR in it ( off course mine, because its long and sheds liek crazy) and he even had the balls to tell me that he will show me one more bag and thats it because his customers are very fussy and would not want a bag with a hair in it, I said yes we are fussy thats why I am here again!. he thought was doing me a big favour exchanging my bag, like its my problem that there is something wrong with the bags? give me a break, I almost wanted a refund then and there but he brought out another bag that looked better so I took it.
Im taking a long break from LV at yorkdale, who needs customer service like this. Wont be going back there again.
Does he have long hair slicked into a ponytail and CLEARLY tans a wee bit too much?? I actually really like him and everyone else in LV Yorkdale...MUCH MUCH better than the LV in Holts Bloor. Too bad you had such a bad experience though..buying LV should be fun! :hugs:

I was there 2 weekends ago, the manager (ponytail dude) greeted me by saying "nice to see you again". I was just browsing to see if they receive anything new yet. I don't buy that many LVs, all my purchases are from this location. Too bad you had such a bad experience. Hope for the better next time:rolleyes:

that's the manager i m talking about. he was so rude to me. I am glad that you get good service there!

Sorry for that bad experience, had some rude experiences too in LV stores all over the world, luckily not too often.

But i can never say it enough, check the bags out before buying them. Didn't you see your first bag was faded and the second bags straps were wrong in color? Before i buy at LV i always check out every inch, so if i find something i don't like i don't have to return it, it saves time and is much easier :smile1:

I didnt think when spending this much money on bags that I would have to do a thorough check , I trusted LV and had expected them to have good Quality control. Obviously they do not, and I will be checking EVERY single bag I buy in the future before I leave the store. Nevertheless, will never purchase at yorkdale again, unless that tall skinny tanned slicked hair ponytail man is no longer working there.

wow everyone's stories sound so horrible!! so sorry to hear about them.

i've been to the LV at Holt Renfrew's a couple times with my DBF and our experience there has never been this bad. then again, we usually run into my DBF's old friend from high school who very willingly helps me try on bags. i've never bought from them yet though.

i have walked around a bit and run into other SA's, but they have never appeared rude to me either.

i agree though, customers should not be treated this way. especially by a high-end brand.

thats the same guy who helped me, he was TALL, SKINNY , TANNED WITH SLICKED BACK PONY TAIL. He should be fired, hes really rude.

I had dealt with the "greasy hair ponytail man" before too and agree he is the RUDEST person I have ever met. I think 2 years ago he was the Manager (hard to believe, eh?), he was gone for a while which I was SO HAPPY about but noticed he's back now.. How does LV even employ this person with such a bad additude?

Sorry to hear about the horror stories :( All the SAs i YD has always been nice to me.

Hmmm, I was wondering if they judge people right away (race or how they are dressed)

The tall, skinny, slicked ponytail SA (I forgot his name ugh lol but my bf might remember) has ALWAYS been nice and very knowledgeable, and perky! I cant believe he actually treated other customers like that >=( Not cool

Every customer who walks into Louis Vuitton should be treated with top-notch customer service. It's a high end store for cripe's sake! And even if you just want to look around, they should still entertain you..I mean who would buy anything without comparing with other brands/options first?! I walk into a low end store and STILL look around and not rush into buying stuff.

Yes thats a mistake alot of people do, just because the brand is expensive doesn't mean the quality is good. Of course Louis Vuitton quality is good, but they do not check every bag before putting it on sale which should indeed be something they do for their prices

Yes, some SA's are really stupid and i always wonder how they still work there, probably it could help if we complain in the store, but i never got myself to do that either

I went this past Tues and he was there. He greeted me nicely and helped me as I was picking out items. He insisted I try different bags that i was eyieing on and didnt seem miffed that in the end, I "only" purchased a Vernis cles.

This was my 3rd visit to that store and my first encounter with him and he was really nice...maybe I got him on a weird day??
