I always receive wonderful service at Yorkdale and although I understand your frustration, I can't help but wonder why a closer inspection of the bag you are purchasing isn't happening on your part? If it's defective, don't accept it, thus saving yourself from being put into this situation.

I've been purchasing bags for years from LV and always give each one a good look over prior to purchase. I can honestly say, I've never had to return a single item.

Because the SA was rushing me and there was a sales event happening I was there 10 mins. Yes You are right, the second time I went in I made sure to thoroughly inspect my bag and now I am happy with it.

I exchanged 2 bags that were clearly imperfect. I dont think there is anything wrong with that. I am always nice to sales associates wherever I shop because I am in sales myself. I also did my exchanges within 7 days ( not months).

i do apologize. i thought i remembered you getting a bag last year and then returning it for a gucci.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

I shop at that LV all the time and have never had any issues. I have also used the same SA and he is always nice enough to me although I do prefer the SA's at the stand alone LV store on Bloor street. My least favourite store in Toronto is the LV in Holts on Bloor, I avoid buying in that store.

Congrats on your 2 new bags!

Op, I am sorry to hear that you had such a crappy experience at Yorkdale. However, like Slang and 4everonwaitlist, I've never had any problems at that store, even though I no longer have a regular SA there ( he got transferred to the downtown Holts). I've had to exchange a purse before and never had any troubles doing it. There are some great SA's there and I am sorry you happened to encounter some not so friendly ones.

Nevertheless, receiving sub-par service is not acceptable, and I hope your future experiences will be much better! Virtual hug for you! :hugs:

Just remember to inspect your future purchases! As rule to myself, I always do before I accept it.

Hope you are enjoying your new neverfull and galliera!

I totally agree about attitude at the YD store. Event the SAs in the Burberry store at YD compared to the ones in the Burberry section at HR are infinitely better. I think the HR/LV stores are just dumb at hiring kind, competent people.

I'm actually still in my teens and the LV SAs totally ignore me when I go in whereas the Bloor stand alone LV has the are the sweetest, most patient SAs ever. Just because I'm not going to buy a 2k bag everytime I go in doesn't mean SAs can be snobs. Sheeesh.

Because of this, I go to the YD location to try on bags (I live in the suburbs and YD is much closer) and then go to the Bloor location to purchase the bags I like :)

I would think that doing this would only make the YD SA's treat you worse because you continually use their time but never buy anything...

my sister and I were "stalked" by security at this location...yeah VERY unhappy about that! It was my first time in an LV store and it was for sure a bad first impression...

I would gladly take over their jobs for them. I mean how awesome would it be to work selling handbags and shoes everyday and get PAID to do it! I could probably be a way better sales associate and I know virtually nothing about the brand!

Actually maybe I should apply...I am in need of a job in Toronto so that I can move there for school...That would probably be my dream job to work in something to do with designer brands...especially since I am also a model. It would be a great way to put myself through school and pay the bills that modeling can't.
If anyone from the TO area sees any job openings like that let me know! LOL

I think SAs should really be nicer and have more product knowledge. They're in customer service. If they were shopping, wouldn't they expect great service? Customers pay employees, since that's where the money even comes from.

Sorry for that bad experience, had some rude experiences too in LV stores all over the world, luckily not too often.

But i can never say it enough, check the bags out before buying them. Didn't you see your first bag was faded and the second bags straps were wrong in color? Before i buy at LV i always check out every inch, so if i find something i don't like i don't have to return it, it saves time and is much easier :smile1:

I honestly hate going into the store at the yorkdale location, they do not greet customers. I only made a purchase once at that location and I will never go back. I think the Bloor location is best (not the one inside Holts, but the outdoor one on Bloor st)

^ If you go during a busy time, the Flagship sometimes don't greet (or can't greet) until they are ready to serve you.

I love Bloor St. though. They've always had fantastic SAs.
I miss Naoko!

The last time that i was in the lv store in HR on Bloor i actually bought a bag $3200 bag mind you and i ended up returning it before i left the store bcauae the SA was so rude. I went in saw the bag i had been looking for for sometime purchased it right away and while i was cashing out i got an important phone call, i politely excused myself from the register and actually told the SA that i was so sorry and didnt want to be rude but the phone call from my lawyer was a very important one to take. When i walked back in the dept 3 min later my bag was sitting in the counter in a bag and she left my credit card sitting right there for anyone to take, and there were lots of people in tbe store. I understand that answering the phone was rude and i dont make a habit of it but i was super polite in excusing myself and she was 90% done the transaction anyways. I was so mad when she ignored me when i came back in that i returned the bag, for $3200 i think i deserved avlittle bit better then the silent treatment and would it have been too much to ask for her to keep my card behind the cash for 3 min? So glad she didnt get my commission and i ended up getting the bag cheaper in michigan with fantastic service a week later!
