When I visited Yorkdale today to get my agenda heatstamped i noticed Joe(ponytail guy) wasn't in and there were two other, tall non ponytailed men standing in the middle of the store. I asked my SA where Joe was, and she informed me he had been transferred to another location. I guess there was some more complaints about him. I have to admit, i am kind of disappointed. He wasn't the most friendly at first but when i came in the second time he was very courteous and nice.So weird going to Yorkdale now that he's not there :(

Sure you can, and you should. Write AND call LV Corporate. If enough people would do this the same names would keep showing up on reports and eventually LV will do something about it.

I had a snot serve me at McDonalds for God's sake and I complained to corporate. I received TWO phone calls, one letter, and 4 certificates for free product.

Should we expect less from Louis Vuitton than McDonalds?

:tup::tup::tup:
Brilliant post! I do the same thing...I always make FORMAL complaints (i.e. written) when I have had a horrible experience anywhere that I shop. I won't do that if I can tell that the SA (whether at LV, McD's, or anywhere) is stressed and just having a bad day, but I definitely won't stand for blatantly rude, mean, and disrespectful sales ASSISTANTS. I worked in sales years ago, and I remember that such behavior would never have been tolerated and that no matter how stressed out I was, I was never mean to anyone.

OP, sorry you had a bad experience! I would make a complaint...maybe since it's been a few months, you can prove to LV that you stuck to your promise to stop shopping there and that their clients will not put up with horrible treatment (i.e. the store is missing out on the sale$$$). I hope that you have found a helpful and friendly SA to make your LV shopping experiences better!

He was working at the Flag ship store on Bloor a few weeks ago when I was there, as was Joanne (from Yorkdale)...apparently Bloor is short staffed so they are pulling staff from other locations to fill in....I actually like Joe - he is always nice and friendly with me...

Yeah he was really helpful when i had a problem with my Ebene NF,and when i mentioned my agenda he recommended hotstamping it. I think after you've been in there a couple times and talked to him he warms up to you lol.I'll have to pay a visit to to the Bloor boutique :)

anyone ever had a luggage tag or wallet heat stamped at yorkdale with 4 letters? I asked when I was there and they said they could ONLY do 3 letters. I was pissed bc I have 4 initials and had to drop my middle names so I could get it heat stamped!!!!

My SA asked his manager and then came back and said he couldnt...in all fairness my SA was absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely recommend dealing with Shaya at Yorkdale...but it was his manager who said no. :( too bad bc I really wanted more than 2 letters but cant just drop one of my middle names. Oh well!!!

After a LOT of bad experiences at yorkdale , I decided to never step in. All the Asian ladies don't help unless you LOOK like a millionaire ....

The guy with ponytail has attitude.

If I'm gonna spend on LV and want good service, the bloor boutique is my favourite location

I refuse to even go into the store if ponytail is there. I've had a few run ins with him (including one that wasn't even in the store!)

I saw this thread and absolutely JUST had to post here. I apologize if I've gone over anything the other posters mentioned but I absolutely despise shopping at the Yorkdale LV! The manager, I don't know his name, to whom everyone refers to as the "ponytail guy". He is such a snob! However, they can't do anything about him since I was talking to my aunt (she works in cosmetics though) and apparently the Yorkdale LV is the most successful LV in Holts nationwide or something, so they won't be doing anything to the ponytail guy unfortunately. Personally, I think he needs to be fired and made an example of since all the SA's in that location are so rude.

SA's at the Yorkdale LV always give the air that they are better than everyone else and seem that servicing any clients is a charitable action and a drab. I think this mentality in such a high end store is appalling and disrespectful to customers. Especially this ponytail guy. We are paying top dollar for these products!

My family has personally had 2 terrible runs with the man. This is because my father and I usually pool to purchase items for my mother on her birthday or Christmas etc. Usually what we purchase my mother likes, however sometimes she thinks the bag is too big or w/e. You will only have problems with the ponytail guy if you are doing returns. I've never heard of stories of others having issues with him if they are just making a purchase. My mother no longer encourages, and in fact discourages purchases at the LV Yorkdale. My father even at one point saw the man walk in whilst talking to a sales associate and kindly told her to put away the items claiming that "[he'd] never want to see that jerk ever again".

However, I personally encourage purchases at the LV Bloor HR location. I don't remember the exact name of the SA there (a tall slender Chinese woman - she told me she has 2 young kids) but she was EXTREMELY patient with me and tended to all my questions and requests cheerfully without any sign of judgement on her face (considering I took up almost an hour of her time! hahahaha!)

I had a great experience in the Yorkdale LV. We went in wearing old jeans and t-shirts on our way to do errands. I thought they would look down on us or maybe even not want to wait on us, but Soo Min was very friendly, polite, respectful and helpful. The other Chinese SA who took my bag away to package it (don't know her name) was also very nice. In fact my husband commented to me afterwards about how well they treated us, as he has at times been poorly treated in stores if he wasn't dressed up.

This guy had a major attitude problem, also the young skinny asian guy does too.
There is only one girl there that is nice she is asian and wears dark black glasses and a chubby asian boy is nice too.
The rest are useless and should all be fired.
The chubby Asian guy is so patient and courteous, his service has always been exemplary. If only I knew his name... I would be referring him to everyone!

I have had both good and bad experiences at LV in Yorkdale.

My bad experiences have mostly been with the pony tail manager. He is SO snobby and acts like you are putting him out when you ask to see a bag. I found it really uncomfortable and left without buying anything because I just wasn't having a good experience.

In the last year or so I have noticed a big improvement in customer service there though. The last 3 times I have been there I had the same Asian lady (can't remember her name offhand) help me every time and she is always smiling and laughing and extremely friendly and nice.

I was actually shocked this past weekend when she said "I remember you buying your BH when we were just a booth in Holt Renfrew!" which was about 6 years ago!! I couldn't believe she remembered!

Very impressed, I must say!

So I was at yorkdale a few weeks ago to get DBF's damier cig case stamped. Previously we had dealt with Shaya at LV Yorkdale and he was absolutely fabulous. But apparently when we got there, he had just finished his shift an hour ago. So this Asian guy named Ocean helped us. We asked for the cig case to be stamped in red with his initials. Well first off they didnt have the damier canvas sample so he showed us the colours on some other piece of leather. We said red in medium size, he points to a "red" in large, we thought he was asking size, so we point to the medium size and say "this size in red". Well I am fairly new to LV and my DBF is very new and not a TPFer like me or anything, well we didnt know there are 2 different reds!!!! and the SA NEVER clarified. Im sorry but if I was doing something that is absolutely permanent like heat stamping I would clarify. Like even if someone said yellow Id clarify "do you mean gold or yellow or mustard" just to be safe. Anyways Ocean (horrible snooty SA) did not!! So we didnt even realize, we wanted the red to match the red stamping that says "Louis Vuitton made in france". So then I ask to see the damier cosmetic pouch and damier pochette. He's grunting and sighing and reluctant to go get them for me. At this point Im undecided if Im also buying a cosmetic something AND a wallet. Well I decide I really want the cosmetic pouch, I dont have one and I need one to organize stuff inside my neverfull. So I say "Ill take the ebene cosmetic pouch" then I ask to see the bleu infini vernis zippy wallet, he says not in stock, what about the sarah bleu infini vernis, not in stock, any vernis wallets in bleu infini? NOPE. He was rude and so not helpful, as if I was wasting his time. I was so upset over this as Im spending potentially over 1000$, maybe not the biggest order, but you never know if I was testing the waters and adding more (first day at LV I dropped nearly 3K). Anyways I decided no wallet and that I would come back sunday when my SA (Shaya) was working. So I cashed out and DBF and I went to wander the mall. We come back to get the cig case, show a different SA our receipt, he goes to get the case, and whats in the display beside the cash????? A Sarah in Vernis Bleu Infini.....um excuse me I thought this was out of stock....like what a J*rk Ocean was!!! Now I understand bad days and all, but please I am always extremely nice to everyone I meet and I even am nice if theyre b*tchy to me. I also was well dressed in fitted shorts and a v neck and carrying an LV Graffiti Neverfull (not like I looked like a bum or anything!). So I was pissed but also just laughed and said to DBF "look thats the wallet I wanted to see" So this other SA (who I think was new bc he didnt know very much, I didnt care I thought it was cute and I tried to be nice and not be a difficult customer to a brand new SA - dont want to scare the poor kid), he got the wallet out, i looked at it, LOVED the colour, but want the zippy. ANYWAYS back to the cig case - the reason for coming to LV in the first place - we get it back DBF wants to just leave so we leave and I havent even seen it, outside LV he shows me, opens the case and Im like WTF thats not the right red!!!! he says he likes it but stupid me is like "thats wrong lets go back" well we go back and Ocean is again completely unhelpful, rude, doesnt even care that we are there and even rude and snappy at us. I felt insulted and completely disrepected. Of course that day the manager apparently wasnt there. DBF got really upset and pissed at this SA who was giving us nothing but grief. We left and DBF was totally outraged. He has since said he will never go back to LV and what terrible service they have (even though when Shaya served us, he loved Shaya). So I tried to save the situation, said how I like the case, I was just shocked at first, the mistake turned out not to be such a bad thing etc, and also made sure to mention "well you can always charge ship OR order online!!!" bc if I want a Bday or XMAS gift from LV....DBF still needs a way to get it without going in the store hahahaha!!!!

In the end the cig case I really think does look good. the initials stand out more in this red than they would've in the dark red, and i think in this case its a good thing bc a cig case you open it quickly then close it, if you want ppl to notice it, it has to stand out a bit.

The thing is though, that I also asked twice that trip for a box for my NF, not a collapsable kind but the regular kind that have the lids. Anyways they said that location doesnt carry them and maybe would them around xmas holidays but not on a regular basis. I find that baffling. Like why wouldnt they have boxes? If I purchased a handbag from them, I damn well want a box!!! Also the SA (Ocean) didnt even wrap my purchase in a box, everything about him just didnt sit right!!! Has anyone else ever not gotten that line at Yorkdale about not having the normal boxes? Is that true? has anyone got one of those normal boxes for their bags??? (the kinda that are same material as the SLG boxes, not the collapsable ones that are sort of plastic-like).

So Im stuck with a dilemma, Im considering changing to the LV Flagship on Bloor but I dont have an SA there, I want to build a relation with an SA so I get to know them. I'd stick at yorkdale if they had the boxes and then I would ONLY deal with Shaya bc he was awesome! HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!???!!!

I recently heard from a SA at Holts @ Yorkdale that Joe (mean ponytail guy) no longer works with LV (both at Yorkdale & Bloor) and that he transferred to Chanel Flagship store on Bloor Street. Thought some people here might be interested XD

They also speculate that there were complaints about his customer service and his lazy behaviour (ie: making pregnant SA's go downstairs in the basement with all the parcels and blatantly refuse to help them) resulted in the transfer. The SA's also told me they think he's working at the back at Chanel and is not a SA there...

Just thought some here would be interested >W<''!
