LV QUALITY CONTROL --- WHAT IS GOING ON??

Some people should just shrink-wrap their bags like how they do in Asia for their TV remotes.

Hilarious!

I just purchased a monogram Neverfull mm and guess what? One of the clasps is completely off. Shame on me for not doing a better job inspecting it[emoji20] or am I overreacting? I have attached some pictures.

Lv quality control is atrocious. I’ve sent back defective bags and then been peanalised and had my account closed because they wouldn’t accept fault and said I was finding issues and their quality isn’t good enough for me. No, it’s not when the handles aren’t even on a bag straight so they don’t meet up to even hold it! Going to Hermes! Sick of how you’re treated at LV

Before I started buying luxury bags I bought Kors, Fossil, lesportsac, etc...Nothing has cracked, or peeled or fallen apart. They're just collecting dust, sitting empty, no stuffing no dust covers. They look the same as when I first bought them. They're crappy bags but kind of indestructible. So why is it LV bags that cost well over a grand are falling apart and not made that well to begin with? I think they're getting away with making their bags as cheaply as possible to maximize profits. Until we stop buying and demanding better nothing will change.
The only place you will get quality, are the smaller boutiques that aren’t mass produced and depend on quality to keep customers. Aspinal of London has great quality still, Hermes, Tods

What do you mean your account was closed?

Out of curiosity, how many returns did you do?

Hi guys! So, I am joining you all on the quality control with Louis Vuitton. I recently purchased a few items from them, some in Emreinte Leather, some in Canvas and quality is just not there. The Artsy MM in Noir Empreinte Leather had an even stitching on the top of the bag: right below the handles, around the opening of the bag. I mentioned it to one of the SAs and she didn't even want to listen to me. Second one that I ordered - had different quality issues. I returned it. I was given a really cold shoulder in the Store. I complained to their 1-800 number and then they directed me to the Store Manager. Anyhow, I ordered a few more items - hoping that some of them will have a good quality and trust me: Out of 12 items that I purchased: some of them were SLGs and some Purses varying in prices and the material used: Empreinte leather and Canvas. I only kept 3 items. Do you know why? The quality of the other 9 was really bad! So, now, when I tried to order a simple item on their website - they cancelled my order twice. I called them and they said I should check with my Credit Card Company. My AMEX people never cancel any of my transactions, since I have been with them, since 2004 and I always pay off my bill. Anyhow, AMex had nothing to do with this. I think they just decided to cancel my account! It's ridiculous!!! It's not our Fault, as consumers that we are getting smarter about our purchases. You know, if I saved up some money to buy a few luxury items and yes, I didn't just spend couple of hundred dollars or couple of thousand dollars - I spent a lot more. I deserve to have a High Quality Item. I am not going to Walmart for my Bag Purchase and not even Saks or Neiman Marcus. I am going to Louis Vuitton. Something is wrong with their quality control. And I really dislike how they refuse to admit that they have a Quality Control. Otherwise, who in the their right mind - purchase 12 items and then return 9 of them in a matter of 4 weeks! I am truly disappointed in Louis Vuitton. I never had any issues with Chanel, YSL, Cartier, Hermes. Tiffany's has their own Quality Control issues too. Louis Vuitton really needs to step up! I am refusing to accept anything from them, but a High Quality. If they can't deliver it and they actually cancelled my account: you know what. When one door closes, another one opens. I am not going to miss them! They will miss all of us! The clients who realized that LV is not what it use to be! It's a shame.

There are many buyers who are uninformed about what a bag should look like to be perfect and will buy a bag with defects because they don’t know it has a defect. LV knows if you don’t buy it someone else will so why should they make the effort to correct it. A customer is just a sales number to them. While some people have great SA who cater to their needs and might go the extra mile others act as if they are doing you a favor when you want to purchase.

Basically it is all about a company mass producing bags for profit. Their name alone will attract buyers. The limited edition low product availability make people become desperate for bags. Many customers think nothing of returning a used bag even if they only wore it once or a week. We have seen so many post here of people doing this. LV has sent out used and damaged items to customers with people who know what to look for complaining but think of how many don’t notice?

One of the things I noticed is how some of their designs are repeats of old designs with cut corners to make the manufacturing process easier but they come with a higher price tag. For instance the Neo Noe and the Montsouris.
The original Noe Gm and Montsouris GM are two of my favorite bags. I love 5at they are sturdy bags that can take abuse and last forever. The new designs look cute but to me it feel the handles and placement on the bag may cause problems as they age. I felt I could carry heavy things in my Vintage bags and not worry. The new designs make me think kind of cheap looking along with the Montsouris handles reminding me of the Neverfull thin straps. So if the designs have cut corners with having less vachetta and craftsmanship they still continue to price them higher. More profit is made.

It kind of is like hit and miss. You hope for the best when you order but expect things might not be perfect. There also seems to be very detailed anger towards finding minor imperfections such as a crooked seam or stitch to the point nothing will make them happy because it is impossible to produce a bag that will be perfect in every way. I could see the SA getting upset in having to deal with people who complains about some of this stuff daily and they k ow no matter what they themselves can’t make it right for many customers.

Okay, so to add to the quality control issues, has anyone seen this happen on canvas before? It's not a stain i don't think, just apart of the canvas. Just looking for some insight, any answers appreciated!!
