I just received a 2017 Speedy (a friend bought it from her trip in europe), that is made in France, but the code is GI 3107. Looking at older (probably outdated, since there is no mention of the newer 2017 bags) authentication guides this is supposed to be made in Spain. Is this normal? I want to authenticate here but they don’t do personal bags anymore.

Also my bag has a nasty mildew smell that won’t go away. I have followed older threads about this but the smell won’t disappear. Any help?

You asked your friend to buy you a bag in Europe? And you think your friend scammed you and bought a fake?

Do you have doubts about what your friend has purchased? Have you asked them about it? If you are concerned, then perhaps consider paying a small fee for a third party authentication - try www.caroldiva.com or www.authenticate4u.com
Hope that helps.

My victorine wallet purchased less than a year ago had small chipping on button. My sa said no problem they’d just send out to replace. Just got a call it was deemed defective and they are giving me a credit. I’m a little surprised because it was a small amount of chipping and I figured they’d just replace button as sa said but apparently they said can’t fix. So now I must think what I want. I don’t want same thing again. Hmmm.

I had a DE 6 key holder with Rose Ballerine lining that I bought in September that had a small tiny tear near the stitching on the inside. I asked if there was a way to prevent the crack from spreading and my SA sent it for repair and they ended up giving me a credit. I ended up getting a mono key holder with the brown lining. Lol totally different

When such defects are seen it makes me wonder ,if at all most of the bags are done by hand instead of machine .If it was machine made I doubt whether we would have these many irregularities .Just my thought .
