So much wisdom in this thread... My story with Hermès silks started with twillies for my bags. I had 3 silk scarves I had inherited or got as a present, but I didn’t really wear them much. I started buying Hermès CSGMs because they were large warm and soft. Didn’t feel as delicate as silk. After that came the MTs, love them around my waist. Like with everything, when you get interested in something your taste evolves. I started to read books and now I’m loving my two large moussies, have three giant silks and lately been interested in the ”oldies” from the 40s, 50s and 60s and looking at pics how they used to be carried. So far I can honestly say that I haven’t been rehoming anything, no regrets and the twillies (have about 28) are the only ones sitting in their boxes. Framing some scarves is the next thing for me.
I’m still a hopeless newbie when it comes to folding a scarf but I hope I will eventually get better. At the moment carrying a CSGM still feels easiest.
I’m buying my CSGMs based on how I like the pattern, if I can combine the colour with a bag and how the cw looks in a particular colour combo. I’m hoping I also learn to consider how it looks when folded or how the colours are against my complexion. I have a wonderful SA at FSH that has taught me a lot. I’m so happy I have tPF, because you scarfies have a lot of knowledge. In future I might need to curate my collection if my taste changes, but loving a neutral classic style has some benefits.
Wow! that is right in line with the twilly on the bag, right? The new act III
That’s what I thought plus it looks like there is taupe and camel together for her bag and coat. I can’t be 100% positive as I have never seen it irlWow! that is right in line with the twilly on the bag, right?
Unless errs on the small/busy side for people who like abstracts & geometrics?
What do you think, @Genie27 ?
The new act III
Yes, perfect! I was also going to suggest the neutral On A Summer Day if 100% silk is an option.

Rocabar in menthol/gris/blanc-- if the colors in real life don't clash with your coat or bag?

Gosh I’m excited to play with these options. I can experiment IRL, but I get overwhelmed and side tracked by *colour* so I need a game plan before I step into the store. My SA can pull some aside for me.@Genie27, Rainbow Faubourg does check your boxes, certainly puts the Capital B in Bold....
Is experimenting for IRL an option?
So you have a store near?
Or you don’t mind ordering/returning process with H.com?

Here’s my capsule collection - CSGMs are most used, then moussies, MTs and 90s. I use twillies for bag handles etc. You can see my leanings
TPF frequently provides more great advice than my wallet can cope with, haha! With the amount of great advice here I doubt you will run out of options.

Ok, so here are the results of my expedition.
The goal was to find a shawl that would tie in my camel colour coat and etoupe B. Also possibly going with my greige fur and ecru fall/spring jacket without overwhelming the outfit.
Here are the coat and jackets in question.

Thanks to your advice here, I was able to condense to seeing a handful instead of being completely overwhelmed.
Here are the 3 contenders

Faubourg Rainbow in pink/green/etoupe

And Chevaux sous le capot in grey/teal from the men’s section. View attachment 4541485
Which do you think I went for?
All lovely, but I think the faubourg rainbow is the most “you”Ok, so here are the results of my expedition.

I have no idea which one you chose but I am very excited to see them with your jackets and bag. I really hope what you have chosen can blend the cool and warm side of neutrals for you!
