Mine looks like this as well.I am guessing that this is not the way it is "supposed" to be, but I just wanted to see what others thought. This is the new small key pouch. There is a large gap between the canvas and the zipper closure. View attachment 6143157
My epi alma has the same. I believe it’s because of the coating on the leather but I’m definitely not an expert. I haven’t had issues with it so far (fingers crossed) so it should be ok. Obviously, if it will worry you return it! These bags are too pricey to be uncomfortable with them. Good luck with your decision!I just received this bag from 24s and I love it but wanted to ask the epi experts out there if I need to worry if these pulled /cracked leather holes from the stitches by the tab on my NeoNoe bb will get worse with use? The only thing I would say is not “normal” is the pulled stitch on the handle. I’m not Sure how that will go over time but you can always get them replaced at LV for a cost. The leather just looks a little dry. You can try leather conditioner, but it’s whatever you’re comfortable with. I always like to say I’m no Expert, just my own experiencehi i’m looking at this preloved bag and wondering if these imperfections are okay/normal? it’ll be my first bagView attachment 6144328View attachment 6144329View attachment 6144330

I totally agree with @BagAddiction712 the fraying is the only real issue for now, but I also agree that the leather is VERY dry, I would worry about that more. Unless the bag is very cheap. Then I wouldn't mind.hi i’m looking at this preloved bag and wondering if these imperfections are okay/normal? it’ll be my first bagView attachment 6144328View attachment 6144329View attachment 6144330

Thank you both so much, I’m so happy you alleviated my fear!! I feel like I got this beautiful new NeoNoé bb for such a “good” price ($300 less than the current canvas option) and there’s just something about epi that makes my heart sing! Surprisingly this Guimauve color goes with most colors I wear too. I totally agree @BULL, those tabs are a smart design for camouflaging those heavy stitches. I’m so glad to have it, thanks again for both of your help!I've been eyeing this for ages. Such a beautiful bag.
Yes this is VERY typical in NeoNoés. The leather is quite stiff by nature, their industrial sewing machines are very fast and brutal, so the holes, especially towards the ends, might look a little rough. Not the most beautiful, but almost no chance it will worsen over time or that the bag will fall apart. I would even assume that the extra long leather tab was a deliberate design decision on their side to cover the stitching, they probably felt that it will never look nice. But this is by design, I wouldn't worry about it. Other than that, I always say, the NeoNoé was the bag of the decade, such a smart design.
I have the regular Neonoe Epi in the Cipango color and mine is exactly the same!Thank you both so much, I’m so happy you alleviated my fear!! The 2nd one looks nicer. I wouldn't buy the one with the stain. Also it was so unnecessary for the seller to crank up the saturation on the photos for the first one. It doesn't make them look nicer, only harder to evaluate. Maybe was done to cover up some uneven colour. The 2nd one looks natural.hi back againi found two other preloaded bags that are in really good condition, one has some staining inside the pocket but other than that both look pretty much new. i’m wondering about the color difference though, option 1 seems a lot more vibrant while option 2 seems almost faded and dull? i can't tell if it is just the difference in lighting. about a $300 difference between the two, option 1 being less expensive. not sure if this is normal, option 1 is from 1999 and option 2 is from 2002.
option 1:
