They should be able to swap just these. Modular bags always have each element available as a spare part.
They probably won't have it in a stock though, they'll need to order it and the official rule is that they can only give you a 'complete' bag, so in theory they should keep the rest of the Neverfull until they get the coin purse and only give the them back to you, but in reality they usually don't follow this fortunately.
Thank you for your reply!
Hopefully they will have it in stock or at least let me keep the bag until the new coin purse arrives.

Hi everyone! My first post here! I finally got my first LV bag in 2019 and it's developed a really odd issue. One piece of the vachetta will NOT tan. No matter what. I have not applied anything to it and have never had it repaired. This issue started in about 2021, and in early 2022 I sent in pics of the issue to LV app and they refused to repair it as a warranty/defective issue. Now, it's only worsening over time. I took it to the store I bought it from (Lenox Square Mall in ATL) 2 weeks ago and they were shocked by the appearance of the bag and took lots of pics, showed the GM etc. and said they'd call me in 2 weeks with a resolution. I haven't heard from them, and when I call the "store" number it goes to the corporate so I can't get any help! What do you guys think of this vachetta..anyone ever seen this or have a resolution? I've tried covering the other pieces and sitting the odd piece in the sun but no luck. I'm beyond frustrated, especially since I carried this bag like 3 times, and now I think it looks so bad I won't even carry it! So disappointed in Louis Vuitton's customer service, I thought they'd be better than this and at least offer a repair!

I see why you are not satisfied with it, but I also understand why Vuitton Repair won't see it as a quality issue. Their untreated leather is truly natural, and as they age, the certain qualities of each cowhide gets amplified. They all have different pore patterns, different ability to absorb oils, and also they tan quite differently. That strip (and, as I see, also the leather of one of the inner hooks) does tan in a quite unusual manner. If it does tan at all. But that is something that they cannot predict about each hide when they manufacture these items. And they also never promised that VVN tans uniformly. My Noé handle is LOTS of leather, and has like 10 shades of tan levels. I guess none of those is as faint as yours, and I totally agree that this can be an extreme case in that regard.
If you are very unhappy with it, the worst case is that they can replace the leather strip (that can catch up with the rest of the bag in colour in a few years), or you can get all the leathers replaced for a uniform tan. But I wouldn't pay for any of these.
Personally, I would love this. It is so unique. I'd only buy Neverfulls with Mon Monogram to make them personal, but this one is just as unique without the €300 extra. One of a kind.

Just got this as the boutique, the left tab has some pretty significant wrinkling/creasing around the rivet. It goes away if the leather is slightly bent back (like a mm or two) or if the bag is picked up by the handles with weight in it. Will this go away? Is it normal? I don’t much care, I’d like to keep the bag because it’s a little sentimental for me but if this is a defect and get worse over time then I would probably exchange it even though it would be a hassle.

Does anyone have photos of a speedy with a similar situation?

It is a cosmetic issue, but I believe that this one won't go away with use. Also won't get much worse either though.

That is so weird. I don't blame you, I wouldn't carry it either. I would just go down to the boutique in person and show them what's going on. They may just exchange it for a new bag/or credit.

Hmmm ok. I wouldn’t care at all if it’s something that would happen eventually anyway, but I’m not sure as this is my first bag.
It wouldn't usually develop like this on Speedies over time. If you can transfer the sentimental value to an exchanged one, I'd try. They use so little leather on these products that it should be impeccable at 0 miles. Later on it can change while we use it, but that is the journey together. This is just the journey of a tired leather inspector.

This right here is what I wanted to know, if it wouldn’t wear like that naturally over time, then I’ll probably try and exchange.

Man I am so done with Louis Vuitton. I just pulled out my Speedy B 3 Damier Ebene that I bought in 2019. I had not really carried it since the pandemic because I am working from home. I noticed over the weekend that the handles were peeling like crazy. The glaze has come completely off. They really are going to charge me almost 400 dollars for repairs. I've barely carried the bag. To make matters worse the glazing is coming off my Neo Noe around the bottom. They want me to send it in for an assessment but won't commit to repairs. This was all done online with their video online repair service. I've had the gold/brass completely come off my key chain within one year and had to have it repaired. Not to mention the stitching coming out of the shoulder strap holder and falling completely off. Louis Vuitton's quality for me is just not there anymore. I can't so much money for such inferior quality. Just done.

Welp, I think I’m just going to keep it after all. I went back to saks, the new one they got in has actual scratches/gouges, and dark marks on the leather, and then I went to Copley and they had the one with the literal crack in the handle and another with scratching on the tab and wrinkling on the side. The one I have is pristine except for the wrinkled tab near the rivet, so rather than keep driving an hour to all the various stores just to find similar quality, I’m just going to keep it 😅

I would keep it, but that wouldn't bother me
