That kinda stuff never bothers me. I don’t even check. But if it bothers you return or exchange it. I guess everyone is different. Here is mine. First time I’ve ever checked.I just purchased a Speedy 20 in black Empreinte leather giant monogram from local LV boutique. As I was admiring it at home, I found its monograms are bit off. Not fatally off but clearly can see its miss alignment looking over the zipper. The lower panel monograms seems to be shifted to the right side a bit.
I watched over dozen Youtube videos but most are rather old 8 months+ and their monogram seems to be better.
Have anyone recently purchased a same Speedy 20? Is your bag’s monogram aligned OK or slightly off like mine?? This is sort of thing that once I see, I can’t help but noticing it…. Just like an ant on the kitchen counter!I know it is hand made…. Our eyebrows aren’t identical right and left…
Could you please share your thoughts, tips, insights etc? For the record the bag is Made in US with imported materials.
Here’s the Pic.

I had an older black epi pochette that I loved to take out for ease of use and durability. Except once I took it to a ski resort, and it must have been the cold/humidity, the black leather strap separated. Seemed like the glue just gave up on life. I took it to LV and they said they couldn't do anything for me, so I purchased a replacement strap for it.Hi all!
I have an LV Pochette Accessoires from the mid 2000s (probably 2006 or so). It was in fantastic shape up until mid-2021 when the strap broke. I used it fairly often and was very happy that it was in such good condition for that long. I took it to LV for a repair (which took forever) and got it back mid 2022.
Since I've had it, I've used the bag a few times. I noticed that the strap is peeling!!! I couldn't believe it. I never had that issue in all the years that I had this bag. The leather strap is like separating into two -- can provide photos if easier.
I took it to LV again and they told me that this is "normal." Normal for a strap to peel after 5 months of limited use -- what! That sounds crazy to me.
Has anyone else had this issue?
This doesn't sound very kind of themCan you show us some pics?
Sure! Here is what is happening to mine.I had an older black epi pochette that I loved to take out for ease of use and durability. Edit: If I can find the separated strap, I'll post a photo. It was upsetting at the time (2010) and I stuffed it away so I wouldn't have to look at it.
It wasn't glued together properlySure! Here is what is happening to mine.
LV pretty much told me the same thing -- there's nothing they can do as it's due to heat / humidity / hand sanitizer. Which is crazy because I had this bag from about 2006 to 2021 with no issues with the strap at all. This is the replacement strap they gave me in 2022 that lasted ~4 months without harsh use.

Could it be taken to a local leather repairman? There’s nothing to lose if you can do that?Sure! Here is what is happening to mine.

So when I brought it back in Jan 2023, they ordered a replacement strap for me as a "one time" courtesy. They were quick to point the blame to me, though, and say it was due to hand sanitizer use or humidity or something like that.It wasn't glued together properlyActually this was the reason why they started to stitch the straps all the way on the newer models, to avoid this. But their policy is to stick to the original design, if you bring a 2006 Pochette, it must look like a 2006 Pochette after repair. I sense that this strap was custom made for you. They don't produce this design for quite some time now, there wasn't any spare parts laying around. It is a beautiful custom job though, except for the glue. It is clearly their fault, they should fix it. But if they are stubborn, anyone with steady hands and some quality leather glue can do the job.
I am wondering, what would happen if you wouldn't ask for a repair, but for a spare part. Since you own a Pochette, you are allowed to buy a strap, if you lost it for example. And would they give you a new design strap then, or would they custom make another one like this. My guess would be the former. Since the spare part ordering is managed in-store following their less strict policies, and the repair is done in the ateliers following a more strict guideline. This is just me wondering, you shouldn't spend more money on it. I guess those straps could be in the 150-200$ range now, if not even more.
I could try that if the next replacement strap presents the same issue.Could it be taken to a local leather repairman? There’s nothing to lose if you can do that?
