At the request of cherryblossum, here are some pictures of my Circus scarf, by Annie Faivre, purchased in Paris around 1990. First, two photos of the absolutely marvelous cowl knot that MYH and her dear friend "Canty" taught us yesterday. I am totally in love with this knot, MYH! :hbeat:

Then two very casual, slightly messy ties to show off the corners. The following post will be all the lovely detail of the circus animals and performers. It may not be obvious, but there is a great deal of metallic paint on this scarf. For example, in the faces and tights of the acrobats, in the leopard's spots, on the "circus" banner, and even in the corners of the scarf. It makes the scarf a bit thick to tie, but with the corners tucked away in the cowl knot, the silk suddenly becomes soft and malleable.
Both are wonderful looks, Elaine!

But before I left the house I tried out the chouchou tie from Arabesques a few days ago (I left both the little knots showing), and one of the ties from the viddie posted yesterday. Both of these are going to need A LOT more work!

Did you fasten your cowl ascot with magnets? I wore my mystique Phoenix today in cowl ascot, loved the look (especially how the knot features the center of the scarf), but had to re-tied it at least 4 times to get thru the day 😁 Wonder if magnets would have helped 😄

I adore all the ways you wear this scarf! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, dearest Elaine! Fabulous knotting! The details are so lovely! And the colors! So beautiful! Isn't it unusual that you chose the sky blue? The colors and the disign suits you very much! Thank you for sharing the great pics of Circus! I purchased reissued Circus last fall, which was introduced into vintage silk 70cm. This was the first time I saw the design. I am drawn to the design for some reason. It's like a strange, unrealistic nightmare! I'll share my pictures next week on SOTD !

Ahhhh....my favorite scarf, momasaurus!! I searched for this for YEARS, and finally found two cws within a few weeks of one another (and, naturally, bought both!). This looks incredibly chic on you
Thank you! I waited a long time for this scarf also and only recently acquired this one, which is in great shape. Which CWs do you have? Maybe you'll post them next week in SOTD - multiple week!!

That is part of the fun moma - looks lovely on you! Such a gorgeous design. I need to bring out my pale blue one.

With the picture!

Great tying there Melora!

So whimsical and charming Elaine - clearly an enchanting silk for you.
