Argh! I cannot walk on that kind of challenge ;)

Here are my attempts. The 2:03 starting with a triangle, and hiding the 2nd tail.
The 2:34, with the scarf just thrown on my shoulders. Yes, just like that, without even trying to knot it!!

...... and "This is not a valid image file". grrrrrrrr

Oh, it worked this time :)
(sorry for the bad pictures)

Thank you for this invigorating thread. Not to take anything from MYH as you do this knot so beautifully, too, but I believe Chestnutty also had the same knot and she used Mr. Teddy as a model - see post #741

I am a great fan of different knots and I had also found this video of Lilith Moonl on You Tube - notice she had a similar cowl knot for mousseline (Classic Glamour knot) but many ideas can also be gained here:

She also has the rose / floral knot in this video although she used it as a headband:

Enjoy!

Yes, at 1:15, it looks like the 140cm version of MYH's and Chestnutty's knots! Love it!
Many thanks to MYH and Chestnutty for making the efforts of showing us how to. And alrgordon for finding these info!

KittyS - I measured mine and it is the short one - 80cm. I am only 5'5". The reason I bought this one is because these farandole necklaces are heavy. And I wanted the lightest one possible. I also kind of did a tricky thing which was to buy a farandole bracelet as well, so when I want a bit more length, I just hook it onto my necklace. Or I can wear the two separately. HTH
That's a great idea with the bracelet! I am shorter than you and the shortest one looks best on me. However I have been hesitant in committing myself since I wonder if I would get more flexibility with the longer one. Now your bracelet idea may make the short one more enticing, since I already have the bracelet. Thanks! :)

At the request of cherryblossum, here are some pictures of my Circus scarf, by Annie Faivre, purchased in Paris around 1990. First, two photos of the absolutely marvelous cowl knot that MYH and her dear friend "Canty" taught us yesterday. I am totally in love with this knot, MYH! :hbeat:

Then two very casual, slightly messy ties to show off the corners. The following post will be all the lovely detail of the circus animals and performers. It may not be obvious, but there is a great deal of metallic paint on this scarf. For example, in the faces and tights of the acrobats, in the leopard's spots, on the "circus" banner, and even in the corners of the scarf. It makes the scarf a bit thick to tie, but with the corners tucked away in the cowl knot, the silk suddenly becomes soft and malleable.
