Scarves How to Wear a 90cm Carre/Silk Twill Casually?

and voila! Here's the finished product. Of course it looks different on my fruit model than on a human. I've also posted a pic of it on me too. I like to tug on the middle of the scarf and at the bottom to loosen it up around my neck. And now you are ready to go!

Yesterday out to do basic errands wearing my MetM in a friendship knot. I find that sometimes this knot can look too "perfect" for my taste, so I tried not caring so much how is fell and looked, and I believe it turned out a little more casual...a little less "planned". I don't know if it worked, but I was even complimented by the clerk at the grocery checkout! :smile1:
Bova - a tried and true friendship knot works every time. It's a beautiful casual way to wear a 90

Please MYH
I do need your instructions.

BTW I love erevy one of yours scarves

Your mod shots are lovely! I tried following your instructions but my knots don't seem as nice as yours...

Adore this combination! So delicate and lovely :smile1:

LOVE each and every one of these - a 'cowl' effect would be perfect for me too - please do post intructions - thanks so much!

Do show us how when you have a chance please.
What length is the farandole? I can't make up my mind which size to purchase.

KittyS - I measured mine and it is the short one - 80cm. I am only 5'5". The reason I bought this one is because these farandole necklaces are heavy. And I wanted the lightest one possible. I also kind of did a tricky thing which was to buy a farandole bracelet as well, so when I want a bit more length, I just hook it onto my necklace. Or I can wear the two separately. HTH

These look fantastic on you!!

Everyone - thanks for the sweet compliments! I have the instructions up now with my fruit model. :roflmfao:

Love this Elaine - kind of jaunty which is wonderful.
Thank you, couture coco! I'm loving the mix of stripes and scarves, which I learned about on this thread! Until recently, I would have said that Circus was only a dressy scarf, to be worn to the theater with a black dress. Now I know better, thanks to MYH!

It looks fabulous, Bova... and you are making me less afraid to try the Friendship Knot, which has always looked too complicated to me!

Pure genius, MYH! Until I saw it on your good friend "Canty" I had no idea what you were talking about (I'm more of a visual person, which is pretty funny, since I made my living as a writer for most of my life!). But you and Canty made it very clear... and I am going to try it out this afternoon, with my laptop close at hand.

I will try it with Circus, so that cherryblossum will have her photo of the scarf in another knot, LOL! (You see, cherryblossum? I am not ignoring your request!)

But first I must vote, and then I must visit my orthop[edist, who will probably give me an injection in my naughty shoulder. So if I can still lift my right arm, I will try this tonight. Otherwise, tomorrow afternoon!

MYH - I tried your Canty knot and it worked like a charm! I'm wearing it today too. This thread (my favourite H thread) has completely revived my interest in wearing 90 cm scarves!

Hi there! Here's the instructions for ascot cowl. Momasaurus recommended the name and I think it's fitting. Taking pics of myself was impossible so meet my model Canty.

Thanks for this beautiful howto, that shows a beautiful scarf.
Although you should tell your frient Canty that she would have looked better with a little bit of lipstick and mascara :graucho:

Melora you made me laugh! And Canti is such a unique model, MYH...very clever. Love the knot and clear instructions and going to try it right away.
