Oooooh, dear Elaine!!!!!! This is the piece which I have been waiting for since I read in the fall scarves thread that you own the scarf Circus.
Great!
Please , please take much time to reveal everything of your Circus, dear Elaine!!!!

^ That means I would like to see you model this scarf in many ways, before you show us the scarf unfolded.:graucho::loveeyes:

Yesterday out to do basic errands wearing my MetM in a friendship knot. I find that sometimes this knot can look too "perfect" for my taste, so I tried not caring so much how is fell and looked, and I believe it turned out a little more casual...a little less "planned". I don't know if it worked, but I was even complimented by the clerk at the grocery checkout! :smile1:

It is perfect!

Sorry to post this knot again but I could not resist trying it with a dip dye Marwari. I also started to accessorize it with my farandole necklace as well. sorry for the poor lighting but I thought I would show the result since I liked it. I will work on instructions tomorrow. Not to put anyone off but it's a little bit complicated but I will try to make it easy peasy!

Do show us how when you have a chance please.
What length is the farandole? I can't make up my mind which size to purchase.

I agree with the clerk, dear Bova123! It's simply gorgeous on you. Your friendship knot is suited to the scarf!
I adore the blue contrast hem and the autumnal cw!!

Melora - you are making me giggle while I lay in bed with my iPad. The second scarf is trophees de venise. A quick explanation of the knot would be to fold it in a triangle. Drape it on your head and bring the two points hanging down on either side in front of your neck, cross them, and then tie behind your neck in a tiny knot. Like you would do if you were protecting your hair while riding in a convertible. Ok, then drop the hood on your head back. Then twist the scarf around on your neck 180 degrees. Tuck the little point in (you got this part right), then fold down the cowl to reveal the loose pleats and fluff and arrange as you like. This knot stays put and does not move around. I will show pics tmrw. It is pretty complicated to explain.
MYH, you are a genius!!! I have been messing around with this all morning and am going to be late to vote and get to work. :p I love how this shows off parts of the scarf we rarely see. Traité des armes is one of the most problematic scarves, with its HUGE border. Here's how I'm leaving the house : THANK YOU!!!! :smile1::smile1::smile1:

Momasaurus - Perfection!!! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: that's it! J'adore. Yes, it definitely highlights a dead zone rarely seen in any folds. The area in the middle of a triangle if you fold your scarf in half on the diagonal.

I think we should call it the ascot cowl, because it almost has an ascot feeling in the center. Sending you more silky love!!!:love::love::hugs:

I love this MYH, running upstairs to try this out right now!

Hi there! Here's the instructions for ascot cowl. Momasaurus recommended the name and I think it's fitting. Taking pics of myself was impossible so meet my model Canty.

Fold your scarf in a triangle and drape it on your head. Continue to tie it like you are a movie star driving around in a convertible.

Ok some tips here. I tie the tiniest knot possible in the back so the scarf does not end up too tight around my neck. Also make sure the triangle at the bottom is not too big because you need to tuck that part in later.

Now, push the hood off your head towards the back of your neck. It should look like this now.

Rotate your scarf 180 degrees so the back little triangle is now in the front. You should have your cowl now.

Next lift up your cowl and tuck that little point into the knot that should be under the cowl.

You should have this now.

For some, you might want to stop here. But to make it more secure and to get that fluffy pleat or ascot in the middle, fold down the cowl or scrunch it down and do a bit of adjusting...see next page
