How many bags are too many bags?

I say no. As long as you still love them all & get enjoyment out of 'em! I change mine out almost every day. Sometimes 2x's a day! Also if you have alot & change them out,it's almost like a new bag at times.

This is TPF. We luv our bags! I doubt you're gonna find very many that say "yes you can have too many" Hehehe :D

I define "too many" when

- you have bags you just don't carry
- you forgot what you have
- you are spending more on bags than you can afford.. meaning.. you don't have the cash for them, you don't have a savings/emergency fund, you are in debt, etc

if none of that applies, then IMO it's not "too many"

Totally disagree. I think in the current economic climate avoiding spending if you have no need to do so is worse. Spending keeps businesses afloat and people employed. If you avoid spending, when you have no need to do so, you are just hurting the economy more.

Please note the fact that I am stipulating that the spender is not having financial troubles. Obviously if one is unemployed and/or having financial troubles, they shouldn't be wasting money on luxuries.

I used to think so but now that I'm a little older, I don't even remember or wear half of them anymore. I keep them in my son's old room so have to go upstairs and try and find one to remember that I have others so I could say yeah, you can have too many.

I find that my interest in bags is diminishing... more interested in achieving an overall look rather than having an ever increasing number of handbags. Though everyones needs/wants are different a rounded collection can include: a good evening bag, a nice durable satchel, a clutch (even better if it's convertible), a roomy tote and maybe a messenger bag.
