I'm 23 and work part time to afford my bags. All of my purchases have either been on sale/clearance or at an outlet/discount chain of some type. No one in my family buys me my bags, not even my b/f, but I get a lot of cash for my b-day and christmas, so, I tend to use that $ to fund bags also. I also try not to buy more than 4 bags a year...helps keep the spending in control :) I also now have $0 debt so that helps a lot too!

I'm a 25 year old college grad and a teacher at a local college in southern Florida. I am trying to pay off my credit cards (only about $3000 to go!) and not buy any more handbags right now because I'm trying to save up for my wedding.

During college I used credit cards for EVERYTHING and it's been biting me in the butt ever since. I also try to sell things on Ebay when I no longer use them. I don't really limit myself to how many bags I'm going to buy per year... if I see a $1000 bag marked down to $75, I'm most likely going to buy it whether I need it or not. Then if I decide I don't need it, I'll sell it on Ebay. I also just found a fabulous consignment shop close by where I got an authentic Gucci Jackie O bag for $100!

i'm 26 and work full time and have no debt. i have tons of bags, all of which i bought for myself, but most are not leather and a lot of them are pretty old.

i guess the main reason i can still buy bags right now on my low salary is that i have a second job that gives me a free (albeit utterly crappy) place to live. so i don't pay any rent.

i also have no furniture that's not plastic or imitation wood since i anticipate moving again soon and have moved to different states often in the past ten years.

(i quit smoking to save money, too! i also love using public libraries.)

28 yo, full time chemist. Living by myself and pay all my bills. Travel to overseas 1-2 times a year. I don't cook nowadays as I always getting home late. I am not fussy about food but I splurge on nice shoes, handbags and collectable vintage cloths. No debts at the moment. Have some investment and planning to buy a house by the end of next year.

I pay for my bags using my cc BUT when I've purchased one, I up my cc payments substantially for the next few months so it's completely paid off relatively quickly. Also I never buy another bag until I've paid off the last one in full - that said I only buy one or two a year and as it takes 3 or 4 months to pay for a bag, it's not usually an issue.
The reason I use my cc is that whenever I attempt to save for a bag in advance, something always 'comes up' and I end up dipping into my savings. This way, it's paid for upfront - it's worth the little bit of interest I end up paying the cc company to actually be able to buy the bag!
I'm 36 and a stay at home mum, DH works f/t. I hope to start back to f/t work soon - recession permitting!

I am 20 years old. I have no CC debt. I took out student loans because I refuse to let my parents pay. But they spoil me. A bag a month, but i do get all A's and study my butt off. I have a wonderful SO who spoils me occasionally with LV or Chanel. So you can say I have a sugar daddy... LOL

I'm 19 and a college student on the way to medical school. My parents both make well over 6 figures and are 100 percent debt free (and have raised me the same way). If I want an expensive something my parents will usually reward me after I bring home a 4.0. I'm not a huge purse fanatic but I love shoes and have so many pieces from tiffany that I could wear something different every day for at least a month!

Im 20 years old
just graduated last april in HKU (currently unemployed)
but I hope to have a job soon coz I have an interview this monday at a real estate company.. wish me luck lol
anyway...
i attended college in hong kong but right now im back to the philippines since my family lives here btw I am a chinese living here in the philippines..

I dont have any student loans, credit card debt.. or any type of debts...
I have a savings account and the usual debit card..

I live with my grandparents and they practically raised me as I am now
paid for my education bought everything i need (transportation, clothing, food) etc...
they also give me monthly allowance of most probably 600-700usd (in asian countries its a big amount already)

I DONT shop at all only own a few clothes and not high end stuff for my basic needs I only spend 100-150usd A MONTH and the rest of my allowance go to my savings account.. started this since I was a senior in High school..

for extra income since I am unemployed I usually help out in my grandparents' office...

I have a boyfriend but we dont give out expensive stuff to each other just the normal gifts My boyfriend is the MOST MONEY LOVING GUY! HE DOESNT BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE ALL HE DOES IS SAVE SAVE SAVE! saving money for business and going out every weekend kind of thing.. but when we go out to go to the mall and watch movies etc. we usually eat at home first to save money or if not at home we will eat out somewhere cheap... (UNLESS ITS A SPECIAL OCCASSION OF COURSE)

Im a LV addict... my frst one was bought during my high school graduation by my mother(WHICH EVENTUALLY STARTED THE ADDICTION)... and the current bags that I own right now came from my savings and my extra income when I help out in the office..

so I am just a simple and normal girl just that I always save and save and save and buy the louis vuitton.. :D

My boyfriend pays alot of our bills. The only things I pay for are our BMW, H3, & cell phone bills. I also pay to see my personal trainer 2 days a week. I normally save about 2/3 of my income which I have been doing for the past 2 years.. Only splurging on a new LV bag every 3 or 4 months.... The past month I've been spending more though. I've been spending alot on LV, True Religion, Sephora items, & MAC makeup. I have been buying alot for my boyfriend also because he doesn't buy anything for himself.

i'm in my early 20's...i'm a student and I work p/t...most of my purchases are funded by me and money from work. my boyfriend is very sweet and loves nice things as well so he will get me a bag here and there. my parents do well but they are not rich although they did give lots growing up, good education, vacations, cars, etc. they do not support my love of bags and luxury items...they think its a waste of money but if they give me bday money then I would use that towards a bag.

On average I buy about 6-8 bags (brand new high end ones) per year and about 10-20 second hand ones(be it Chanel/Hermes/LV).

I am a full-time student but I work about 40 hours a week(2 fairly high paying jobs) and also invest in stocks and property.

I guess it helps that dad enables my addiction for clothes and bags (I get about 2 bags from him a year).
