How do you afford your bags and how many per year? Credit debt or millionare lover?

I am in my 30s, gamefully employed, and married for love - no $$$.

My husband is a far cry from a millionare and I don't mind.

In regards to purses - this has always been a passion of mine. I've finetuned both my tastes and shopping habits throughout the years and nowadays just focus on quality vs. quantity.

My husband is my source of income. That said, I will stalk out clothing by Vince, Theory and Tory Burch until it goes on sale (usually within 6 months), so I can spend my money on the important things, like handbags. I've also made friends with the sales associates at Neiman-Marcus and Saks, so they call me when a bag I'm coveting goes on sale.

My philosophy is that I'm not driving it, or if it's not somewhere on my person, I don't spend money on it. That means that we don't dine out much (unless it's a special occasion), and I pretty much take a DIY approach to beauty treatments, so I have cash available to buy the handbags that love.

I'm 24 years old and I'm working a ok job. I have saved alot of money because I wanted to go to college again this fall. I wanted to go to art school but unfortunate I was not exepted :( So when I heard the bad news I decided to spoil myself and spend a little of college money. Thank god the mullberry sale was around the corner and I bought a beautiful taupe shimmy!

I am 28 and have a baby of 8 monthes.I graduated from unv and work in a chemical company for 6 years.
I love cute bags, but will not spend to much on it and never ever get
credit debt in purchasing bag /clothes coz we still have a mount of house debt
to offend

I'm a 20 year old college student attending the Art Institute of Houston. I'm majoring in interior design. I can't afford the high end bags yet, so I just stick with Coach. However, since finding you gals, I've been searching high and low in my local TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls. Been finding great deals! Hoping to get to the good stuff after graduation mwahahaha:laugh:

I am 21, I recently moved to the US and I don't have a job. I get my money from my savings and a little from my parents, other than that I sell my old stuff on ebay.
Normally I would buy around 5-7 bags a year but this year I went overboard and bought around 15..But currently I decided to only keep what I truly love, wich leaves me with 3 purses.

I'm 29, engaged and work as a freelance artist. That way, sometimes I have a lot of money to spend, and other times, not so much. I buy 2-3 bags a year, most of my money goes into footwear since I just love shoes. I have no dept and want to keep it that way. Since I'm getting married next year, I try to change now and not spend all my extra money on shoes and bags. It's damn hard. But I will learn it, because there are better things in life. I can't wait to start a family of my own.

I'm 24 years old with a son. I work full time and go to school part time. I have my own apt and pay my tuition. I save as much as i can & don't have much cc debt. My DF has gotten me most of my designer pieces although I have gotten a few for myself. My family isn't wealthy neither is his. Everything we own is from hard work and sacrifice.

I have a large collection of bags and I'm now venturing into Chanel stuff. I'm older and have worked most of my life as well as my husband. Within the next few months I'll probably be laid off (or is it layed off)? anyway this is my last hurrah. I'm buying up a storm. We have no debt and everything is paid off. However I'm using credit to stock up on deals that are coming my way. Yes I'm being baaaad. It's my little form of rebellion. But don't worry, I'm in controll...gulp....I think???

I'm not in debt...

I started buying designer bags at 15 because my parents gave me a big allowance.
It also helps that I am very close with everyone in my family and they all like to spoil me.

I had summer jobs through high school, and I've been out of high school for a few years...and I have been working on and off, and I'm in school.
I still get a large allowance and my visa bills paid...
but I'm trying to budget lately because I don't think it's fair to make my parents pay my large visa bills!
So I've been paying them myself.
I also have savings put away for me but I haven't touched it yet!

I guess I'm pretty lucky :o

I'm 20, and a college student. All my bags have either been gifts, or purchased by my parents. I'm in no debt .. yet, (at least not due to bags). I do have student loans that will need to be paid eventually, but hopefully I'll still be able to acquire a few goodies before that :)

All my bags have been from me, and no one else apart from the cheap utilitarian ones, like the backpack, hip pack, messenger bag, organizer tote, etc. All the aesthetic pieces and 1 utilitarian piece (which make up 26 of my total bags) have been bought by me with my own hard-earned money. None of the bags I bought were at full retail price, but rather pre-owned or on either a good sale or clearance. My BF, parents, etc. refuse to buy me bags though.:>P I am also severly underpaid, working full-time, for all the work that I do. I live at home and have few bills to pay.
