My husband and I made a deal when we got married, that all our income goes to a joint account we use to pay our joint expenses off, like house, cars, now also anything the kids need. Off of that account comes a monthly allowance for each of us, that we spend on whatever we like. It feels fair, because I used to make much more than my husband and he never had to feel bad about it. Now, that I only work parttime and take care of the house the kids and him of course, and he has moved up and earns Way more than I do, the allowance got bigger, but is still the same amount for each of us. So he doesn't care at all, what I spend mine on. We Never had a fight about money.:smile1:

I pay for all my bags, my bf only buy jewellery for me. I have mortgage to pay but I do not drive. I work full time, so basically I just use my salary. I bought 6 bags (3 Bbag, 3 LV) and sold 1 (Bbag) this year. And sure I use my credit card(s).

Happiness is not about how much you have, but how little you need.

My hubby and I do pretty well and our girls are grown and gone! My time now! Never purchased my first expensive bag until I was 42. My hubby takes care of the bills while I work to shop! Lol. Still have to save up though because no one wants to run into the poor house for bags! And paying interest on that kind of stuff is not good. I definitely am happy we were well grounded before my taste became outrageous! Saving for what you want is wonderful and rewarding when you are a young person. I went a little crazy after buying my first LV but right now I believe I am bag content - okay after one more which I will not purchase until next year. Well okay maybe my birthday before the next price increase! These darn things are addictive! But I think one a year or every other year is good.

I think you're right. I should stick on 1 bag per year. Coz for this year alone I already got 1 Givenchy, 1 Chanel, 3 Longchamp (to give as a presents to my mom and 2 friends) and 1 asos LOL

What a great idea!

I think bargains help! But I tend to go to the vintage/classic side of Coach and Dooney & Bourke so normally I have to buy used. Most of the vintage stuff tends to be under $100. Only thing is you have to make sure you do your research prior to buying to make sure they are authentic. So far I've been correct on all my purchases. Also learning how to condition and properly clean your bags makes them look like new again!

I understand completely in 2014 alone I purchased 6 Louis Vuittons - 5 bags and an slg! Put myself on ban right now! Yes yes one a year is really good! I like variety! By the I could use a millionaire sancho but I love my Husband to life! Lol

Be Blessed MoNikki

I buy my own bags and so i go for a good deal. Of course, its also about understanding my limitations and not to go overboard. I usually use credit and try my best to pay off by next month(though not possible at times). I also realise that its not the quantity but the quality of bags that i treasure more as i grow older. So i m buying lesser but more high end bags...

Lol even though I save hard to buy my bags I don't have the courage to tell DH the price tags. I am so happy for those receiving support and understanding from hubbies.
Anyway, not going on holidays is the main saving for me. Also dress simply is another big saving. On top of that I don't wear jewellery :) so basically you can tell I am the type of person when I go out the bag is actually my statement piece lol everything else is quite low key

Hahaha I do actually do the same with my Dad! Whenever he see with a new bag or anything new and asked me how much for it I just smile at him and tell casually "oh its nothing much" LOL
