How do you afford your bags and how many per year? Credit debt or millionare lover?

Ok, so we keep buying each year to add to our collection. What do you do to let bags go? Sell? Give away? I have WAY too many bags and SLG. I have to keep a little book of my inventory, it's ridicules. Consignment stores want 50-60% of what they sell it for which is I think isn't fair. Or am I too attached to my goodies?

I usually buy one bag a year. I am about four months overdue since my last purchase, so I am having antsy hands already...lol. I don't put anything like that on credit. I usually save for the bag that I want.

I have a good job, no kids and a husband who doesn't ask questions.

I've always been passionate about handbags but more so lately especially after discovering TFP.

My parents have bought me bags as well - I think as a thank you for helping them out.

I don't spent a lot of money on clothes and other things - I don't care about having a nice car - my only passion is this one thing.....

I'm 24 and I have a pretty decent job that I've had for a little over a year now. For a late birthday present for myself and one year anniversary at work, I've decided to buy my very own designer bag with my own money. Needless to say, I'm very proud of it because it was from my hard earned money. My boyfriend did offer to buy it for me, but I felt better knowing I can buy it myself. I rather buy bags myself when I can rather than having my boyfriend buy it, unless of course its a gift. ;)

I have also just paid off my credit cards and car so so I can splurge a little. And I also have a pretty good savings account. But I have limited myself to buy one bag a year only. :)

my wife works with me and separately on her own. we save whatever we may end up saving but we are allowed $1,000 +/- per year... her on my bday and me on her bday. if she wants something more expensive, she either saves that particular year or sells her pervious purchases FIRST for a larger purchase. she charges the purchases on our CC responsibly since we get miles and points or cash back. lately for us its almost a loss if we pay in cash at retails since we get much more benefits for charging.

I'm an only child but my parents only could give me things within their means. The biggest expenses they paid was for 90% of my university costs and $4000 for my second hand car. The only mid-range item they bought me was a Michael Kors purse from an outlet. However, all of my designer stuff (Louboutin, Celine etc.) is purchased by me. My boyfriend is very generous in that he always pays for dinner, outings and our phone bill. But when it comes to rent, insurance and groceries, we split it. He refuses to buy me any designer shoes, bags or clothes but has surprised me twice with gifts from Tiffany and an iPad.

I work, save and don't spend that much money on other things. Sure, I like nice clothing too, but me and my boyfriend almost never travel, we don't go to fancy restaurants etc. I also buy alot on sale, don't mind if it's not this seasons bag as long as I LOVE it :smile1:
