I am yet to begin my collection, but first purchase will be a hard earned LV mono speedy 35 from my first years teachers salary...eventually I want to write novels and make it big...for the bags of course ;)

I know a question similar to this must of been posted before, but i'm really curious how you ladies afford your purses? good jobs, monthly payments on credit cards, rich husband/boyfriend......lol

Myself personally have a pretty well paying job and my husband and I don't have kids and we don't have a mortgage or pay for the cars. (all paid off)
I wish I could say I've been smart and saved money to pay for them. But noooooooo...

The first department I hit when I go to Dillards is the purse department. Always have. I don't know that I ever purchased a bag at full price. I'd go just for the thrill of the clearance.

Had some trauma and drama when I was about 43.

As a result of all of the drama came stress and anxiety.

Soooooo... Last year I had a Brahmin meltdown in Dillards and the obsession is still going on.

I won't admit to how many I've purchased in the last 6 months or so... All on credit cards.

Life is short, what can I say? :p

LOL I love this thread! Great question. Thank goodness for my job, having a cushy savings account, and not having too many monthly bills. This allows me to splurge from time to time.

I pinch and save, don't go out to eat often, and don't buy unnecessary things. It is totally worth it when I walk out of the store with my new luxury items and no debt or regret. The boyfriend has also begun to support my collection :yahoo::loveeyes:

i just work and save money of course. i'm 27, no kids, work full time at a decent paying job BUT i still live with my parents so i don't have to worry about paying rent/utilities or any of that mess. i pay my own cell bill, car payments and insurance and have no CC debt. the only things i really splurge on are purses and action figures (i'm such a nerd lol).
