Hi- how is hermes pricing in Switzerland compared to US now?
I would look at the hermes.com site, or the pricing thread. It varies by item pretty widely. Some things are cheaper. It's mostly 1:1 with the USD, though, when you detax, and you consider that the US price is pre-tax, it's probably 10-15% less in Switzerland. There's some bags listed in the pricing thread as CHF (which is the Swiss Franc) to give you an idea.

Hi guys! Just wondering if anyone happened to score a B or K at the Lausanne store?

I was at Lausanne last year, around February, and dropped by the H store. I purchased a few small items and told the SA that I was also looking for a kelly. Unfortunately, she told me she didn't have any at the time. She offered to take down my wishlist, which I obliged and gave her my list of colors. I was with my friend who lived in Lausanne, and so we gave the SA her number and she said she would call if anything came.

So over a year later, still no call. But I will be going back to Switzerland this December and wondering if I should check up on my wishlist again? Or would I have better chances at Geneva?

Thanks!

I have been in the Geneva store once when traveling through and overheard the SA telling an insistent tourist that they sell B/Ks only to locals and that even then there's a ten month waiting list. I don't know if that's general store policy in all Switzerland or Geneva only.

Hi
I scored my first Birkin 30 last August in Lausanne Was very lucky as it came only 2 months after I met my SA.
I am a local customer, the Team there is so lovely!

Does anyone here with a local billing and shipping address using a ch bank issued credit card have any extra bank charges for cross border chf when shopping from the online shop? I called customer service about it and they said it’s listed in the terms and conditions. Long story short, yes it’s listed there on the German t&c but not on the French one. They have since updated the site. This discourages me from buying online as I don’t want to pay the cross border charges from the Swiss online shop. I understand technically why it’s happening as I have experience in setting up e-commerce and payment processors. I was curious if it happened to others as the customer service said I was the only person to call about it. And if it is only happening to me, maybe I need to look for a new credit card issuer. I’m using the migros issued credit card. Side note, this is also happening on the calida online shop as well.

I've never had this issue with my Swiss cards, ordering from the Swiss site, free delivery to a Swiss address, never any added charges. I recommend you contact your card company (Migros Bank). Good luck!

Thanks Markova. I have called (cembra) the ones behind the migros card and they said it is correct. Also, had the cross border charge for calida as well.

If you don’t mind me asking which bank card are you using? I am thinking about adding another credit card.
