I am thinking of placing my PO next July (2009)...since the SM said it would take 6 months to come in...so it's kind of a compromise...BUT with the price increases every year, I am thinking I should do it soon because DH would FREAK if a 30cm birkin were to cost more than $10K!!

^ Yup, I'm on the 1 every three year plan also. And I had to twist his arm to get that. I guess that's the PHH (purse hating husband) standard for those of us not lucky enough to have DHs who not only undertand but enable the addiction. Message to single girls ~~ Buy now before you get locked down with a PHH. Either that, or marry an enabler. LOL!

there are enablers out there!!! :) I always love

Kelly_Birkin, I hope you land a non-PHH (or if not, buy as many Hs are your heart desires)! Those stories are sooo sweet, you're right. :girlsigh: I wouldn't trade my DH for anyone in the world, but he is what he is - a PHH. Not that he doesn't like nice things, oh contrare! He just doesn't get high-end purse logic ... yet. I'm working on him though.

Yes, I might actually just buy it anyway coz I always tell DH, "Your money is my money, and my money is my money!" But maybe I have to buy him a Breitling first so as to bribe him...:graucho:

mooks - You mentioned the H boutique at Selfridges. Do you go to the one on Bond Street? Absolutely loved them!!! Visited the H boutique several years ago and it was not a pleasant experience. Decided to try it again at Selfridges when we were there in the fall and everyone was so sweet. The SA even gave us a hint on where to get a good bangers and mash. :laugh: I felt just horrible that I didn't buy anything. What a wonderful place!!

On the subject of PHHs. I am vey lucky. DH thinks my "obsession" is a little crazy but he goes along for the ride. Personally, I think he is relieved. His boss' wife has a thing for buying and decorating homes. So, hey! There is always something more expensive out there.

^^^ I actually went to Sloane Street, Bond Street and Selfridges yesterday....it was a little H marathon! They are all so lovely in Bond Street and Selfridges but Sloane Street were a little stand offish. Doubt I will go there again

Oh and I know a great sausage and mash place in Notting Hill :drool:

Oh Mooks thank you so much for that, thats so kind of you. I will have to see these IRL one day to see which i prefer, but if i do prefer the Evelyn i would try and rearrange my finances so i could get one. I just hope prices don't go up before i reach my goal. Thanks again for asking for me :flowers::flowers:

P-B, did you explain to your DH about the quality
of H? I love it when guys surprise their ladies with
a big orange box. I remember one DH bought the WRONG
leather and bag combo - I can't remember if she
kept it or made an exchange.

Hi ladies, back from Egypt now, so back thinking about bags!! Lol, it was quite nice actually not thinking about bags for a while, but hey my obsession is back now!!
Eww, i saw some HORRIBLE bags over in Sharm el Sheik~ fake croc (PVC) birkin anyone for £30!!! =(

Glad to see this is now a sticky!!!
