So glad to have found this thread! :D

I'm a relative H newbie. I started buying a few scarves and twillies last year, got my first small leather item this year (a Ulysse MM in gold togo), and I know getting an H bag is just a matter of time. I'm not really into Bs or Ks, so I first thought of getting a Picotin because it's within my price range. But after thinking about it some more, I decided that it wouldn't be a practical bag for me.

I've been doing some research lately, and I think I have settled on my HG H bag - a Massai Cut 32 in gold clemence. I already exhausted my bag budget this year, so my new goal is to study hard for my professional exams, and hopefully get the Massai when I pass everything, which will be July 2014, and I would have saved up the money for it by then. More importantly I think delaying this purchase would make it feel much more worthwhile when I finally get it. :D

I have no idea about availability, or even whether I'll like the Massai once I try it on, but I'm too shy to go into the boutique asking to try on something that I know I won't be able to buy right away. I just figure things will work themselves out once I actually pass the exams. Fingers crossed! Thank you for letting me share my goal, ladies.

Excellent thread! I'm currently waiting for GHW in Rouge Casaque or Orange in B30 or B35, any leather except Togo. I was offered a Orange Epsom B30 PHW but I had my heart set on GWH which is my first priority. I'm really hoping to get RC first since it is my dream color on a B.
Thanks for letting me share during this almost unbearable waiting time.

I am currently working and studying for my degree part-time. My dream bag will be the lindy 30. Any neutral colors will be ideal.

I am actually heading to Paris this October to try my luck on scoring 1. But after some weeks of thoughts, maybe I should save up the $ instead. My new house will be ready in 3 years time and I will also be graduating. So perhaps now is not really the right time to reward myself yet.

So far I only have a kdt and a twilly from H. I just started on H two months ago! So my Paris trip, I am aimming to score a CDC first. I know I sound so broke, but I really want my savings to grow in these 3 years as much as possible.

Is this a support group for people waiting/saving for other Hermes products as well? Because I'm dying for a collier de chien, but even that will probably be a few years out of my reach.

I discovered Hermes last year, and I absolutely love it. I watched the documentary Hearts and Crafts, and I love how everything is handmade by real craftsmen and women. After a lot of consideration, I've come to the conclusion that an Hermes bag is probably too impractical for me (I am VERY hard on my bags, and tend to be a bag minimalist--I only have three right now and one is a formal clutch), but I adore the scarves and I can't stop looking at pictures of CDC's. I can't really decide between a black matte gator with phw, a gris clair matte gator with phw, or a graphite matte gator with phw. I know the gris clair and graphite are hard to get ahold of, and I'll probably never be enough of a regular at my local store to see the "secret stash" of rare colors. But maybe someday I'll get lucky. I'm saving up right now for one, so I'll have the money ready if the opportunity arises! :smile1:

I don't think you have to be a "regular" to get a CDC. I walked into an H store on vacation & picked up a matte Geranium just by asking. She actually brought out 5 gator CDC's for me to pick from & one was graphite. Good luck with the saving & finding ur CDC!

Lucky you! I recently went to my local store (Beverly Hills) and was told there was a months-long wait list for even the regular leather CDCs. I called again a few weeks later and the SA told me they were just now starting to get in some of the croc CDC's, but the more exotic colors would be saved for regulars first, so the wait would be quite long. They're pretty popular where I am  Thanks for the good will though! I definitely won't give up... eventually one will be mine! :smile1:

Keep stalking H.com too, they occasionally turn up there too! Good luck!

Hello, My name is JC and I'd like to join the support group too. :D I'm 28 and have been in love with Hermes for 10 years now.

I have a modest collection of SLGs, ties and a Herbag that I adore. I'm now saving for my next bag, a Victoria 40 Briefcase in clemence. I don't have a specific colour in mind other than I would like it to be a neutral.

I've only seen one example of this bag in the stores, so I don't know whether or not it is a realistic bag to aim for. However it is the bag that would best fit my style as a smart "special occasions" bag.

I would like to purchase this bag from my local store, however if I can't find one here I am willing to travel to Europe on the hunt for this bag. I may even take it as an excuse to make my first visit to FSH later this year.

Hello!

I'm in the same situation. My store had a Birkin that my SA put in a proposal for me to buy. I can just barely afford it but I am torn about spending that much money. I really, really want the bag but I feel like it's not practical to spend so much of my money. I'm still waiting for the manager to decide who can buy it but I'm sort of hoping I am not picked. We'll have to see!

Hi ladies - I've never tried on any H bags but wanted to this weekend. I'm interested in the lindy and kelly and birkin - not sure specifically on sizes (I'm 5ft 6, US4/UK8-10, curvy).

1) Is it possible I'll be able to even see/try on any of these bags? (going into London - numerous possible places)
2) Anyone recommend sizes? I want something medium to large for me... from my reading I was thinking Lindy 30, kelly 32 and birkin 30?

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried any of the other stores in the CA area? I wonder if Costa Mesa is any better. My husband makes several trips to Vegas each year for business, so I could have him look there too. If they tend to have a larger stock I'll send him on an errand for me! :smile1:
