Just wanted to join this thread too.

I've decided to take the plunge and buy my first B. 30 or 35 cm togo in black or blue jean. I've put myself on the list. My goal is to buy in Jan 2011.

I've been pretty good on holiday here in Japan. Haven't bought any small goods or scarves from any brand at all.

Great thread and good luck to all.

hey there
also want to join this thread - until about yesterday Hermes seemed a far distant plan but for some reason I caught the bug last night surfing in this subforum. there are bags that I could also afford with some saving:
thinking about the victoria fourre tout, bolide, jypsiere or maybe an evelyn - I guess this will not happen until some time in 2011, unless I buy pre-loved. I also thought of a Kelly but I think I still have some time as there is no way to buy this new.

^ i love pre-loved. shortens the wait for me :) even then at H prices, pre-loved still needs some planning and saving. i'm stopping work end of this month so i guess the shopping has to stop too.

Joining this thread too!! I don't own a Hermes bag but after thinking a lot, lot, lot I decided that I want a Kelly bag!! The difficult part is to find one !!!!!!!!!! Why?? You can't go to an Hermes shop and order the one that you want or try some and decide which one you like more :tdown: Anyway time will show if I get lucky (lucky though isn't my middle name!!) :thinkin:

Thenurse: I have decide (with the help of Cayenne-pepper!) that I want Epson in Rubis (or in any red colour or something else that I will really like). I am thinking maybe etoupe or sweet brown (not dark though). I have watched your reveal and see that you bought one here in London!

Good luck, everyone I am sure that you can do. And in the mean time we are here to support you! :hugs:

Elina: Great choices. I wasn't really specific on the colour itself expect that I didn't want anything light or a scary leather that couldn't handle up to the weather here as it can get pretty bad. I would lpve a red colour but the problem it that it would clash with my wardrobe and I wanted something I could get a lot of use from and would last a long time. In the end London turned out to be my lucky charm.

Prior to buying the Kelly I sold some but mostly I haven't spent a lot of money on designer good or luxery items. So I saved mine. While everyone one owned a LV, Mulberry and so forth I sticked to my River Island, H&M and items bought abroad. I think that was the key thing for me. I needed to justify buying one and with Hermès it is pretty easy.

Thenurse: you have done well!! Before catching the Hermes bug I loved Dior and my best so far buy was a Dior rendevouz bag. Generally I wasn't either a big spender on designer goods. Of course I always liked Hermes (the owner ancestors were Greek! so...) but it wasn't until recently that I decided to buy my first Hermes bag and hanging around PF! :p:D

Papertiger, Amazing restraint (can't wait to see your EL Cam)!! And NOTHING at the sale? Is that possible??:amazed:
:amazed:
So, DH says to me yesterday, well, maybe I should go in (to our local H) with you, so that I can see what you mean (about sizes, leathers, Brikin v. HAC, do I NEED a picotin).....very helpful, that fellow, but I fear the ban may not stand.:happydance:

Meanwhile, saw beautiful potiron clemence 31cm bolide online....oooooohhh:girlsigh:

And let one of my HG scarves get away as a show of strength....

Aaarrrrgh!!!!
:ban:
Must. Be. Strong. Right??

Papertiger - pretty please post pictures (wow, what alliteration!) of your EL en C. I am not sure I have seen it in the green and red c/w. Sounds beautiful!

I'm sorry for the delay - I owe you both a pic

I am still on track but actually wondering if the bag I'm after will satisfy me when it's not quite what I really really crave for (a sellier). Maybe I should get a Lindy first rather than a near-perfect kelly and one day do an SO for my HG Kelly (eh, if I'm lucky)

Papertiger: Oh, isn't the So Black Kelly the HG for you?

I just have to say I love that scarf on you! With the hair and the wool it looks perfect on you. If we all were that lucky life would be much easier. :smile1:

Elina: Hehe. Welcome to the club!

as for wool and hair - would that we should all have porcelain skin and an hour-glass figure ;)

I love the SO black and I will go to see it but I know me and would still want a sellier even after the SO black and that is plain daft really :noggin:

I want a sellier darn-it :pout::hysteric::pout:

Is that winking because of me?

I want one too.. Am I crazy? I thought the SO black was sellier and not retourne?

I think if you really want it then you should go for a sellier, but what colour? I know they are hard to come by but patience is one of your virtues. Or else you wouldn't have been teaching for a living. :p
