I got these a few weeks ago~ £1590
I wore them so far for a day and they gave me very bad open blisters. I need to get walking socks so I can soften the leather up and use them more.

Congrats! The boots look great on you. I sometimes get blisters on my ankles when I wear mine, but not always. It think the type of sock makes a difference.

I got my mocha box boots in November and I've had no problems whatsoever- no blisters, no trouble getting them on and off, etc. I spent two days going back and forth between two sizes, two pairs in each size. I ended up with the 1/2 size larger ones and couldn't be happier. Boots with a straight back should have some heel slippage in the beginning. The slippage decreases as the boot becomes more pliable and molds to your foot, which only took two wears for me.

I will say that these boots should he tried on before purchasing. I went a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear in H shoes, but for others it might be a 1/2 size down. There can be quite a bit of variation since these are handmade - two pairs in the same size are likely to feel entirely different. Once you find the right fit, they are perfection. I am thrilled with mine!

Thank you~~!! I think so too about socks~ my friend rides horses and he has the same issue with his riding boots and said a good pair of socks will make a big difference :smile1: no pain no gain :p

I have a couple pairs of these boots. I never had problems with breaking them in. They were perfect from the start. My sister can't walk around the block in hers without getting blisters and has not been able to break them in after multiple wears. I think they just take to certain foot shapes better than others. I feel lucky that they are a good fit for me and cant wait for a new color to come out, would love Indigo.

It's cold in europe like Myrkur says, if its anything like last year we never really had a summer so I will be wearing mine for a while until at least May~

Suzie how are you storing yours?

I'm curious about the storage too. I'm supposed to get mine on Monday and I don't know if I should get those boot thingys. The SA said I didn't need to but I still wonder. I know some people have talked about using the cedar shoe trees, I think even using both those and the boot shaper.

i am thinking shoe trees also~ it will support the leg of the boot otherwise the leather will slouch at the ankle

Right, the ankle it what I worry about with these boots because they're not tapered there and tend to wrinkle. That and kind of the top of the ball of the foot (if that makes sense). I think Tanker Toad had pictures of her boots with those tall boot contraptions in them in another thread. I'm not sure how those work - I've just used the cedar ones for shoes.
