Thanks so much, ladies. I do not have an Hermes store in my city so I don't have the luxury of trying these on before purchase. I have someone going to Europe and they have what I think is my size over there so I might have them bring them home to me. But the downfall is, is they don't fit for some reason I'm gonna be stuck with them. so I'm trying to make the best decision possible. I'm worried if I wait for them to restock here the price may go up again when they do. Have any of you ladies found that you wear the same size in these boots as you do in Louboutin or Chanel shoes? Thanks again!

Did u get your boots? How did they fit? I am trying to do the same thing - have a friend bring a pair from Europe...

An official outing with my H jumping boots. Still need some major breaking in on them.

While I adore Hermes riding boots, my calves are just a little over 14 inches and I have trouble with most high boots. It might seem like sacrilege to do so, but I have a wonderful cobbler here who sews elastic gussets into my boots for me, and replaces leather soles with rubber so I won't slip. The gussets are cut on the inside of the boot and the leather is sewn onto the elastic in strips so that the gusset barely shows, and I usually wear high boots with long skirts. I hate to desecrate a museum piece, but it's the practical thing to do.

Can u post a picture of how this looks on your jumping boots? Thank u!

I just bought my black riding boots in Paris at FSH on Monday. they were 1770 Euros. They were tight in the calves but loose in the ankles but will hopefully break in. What kind of leather care/protectant do you recommend?
btw they had lots of availability including 36 in black and brown

I am super amazed that the riding boots price didn't go up. I got mine in December in Paris for 1770 euro.

Does anyone have any tips on how to slide into the jumping boots? I have thin legs and not huge feet (size 7) but when my SA brought out a pair I couldnt get my darn foot in. It was embarassing!

There is a trick of wrapping your foot in plastic bag lol :) it will go right in! Or wear nylon tights, this helps as well :)

Point your toe and wear tights/socks. I've been wearing thick socks since I haven't quite broken mine in yet, so I want to prevent blisters on my heel. Don't worry. If it's any comfort, I don't get in or out of these boots very elegantly. In fact, I usually need DH to help me take OFF the boots. :p

H riding boots are tricky. I had enough space at my heels and my boots were starting to give me more space overall. I decided to try laying inner sole for extra cushion. I never thought extra 2-3mm would not work. I couldn't fit my feet in the boots anymore. The angle was not right to smuggle my feet in, but only 2-3 mm! I took the inner sole out. I wonder how other tPF members do it, or they intentionally get way bigger size boots?

May I ask the ladies here if u put heel insoles in the boots? My SA said a lot of their clients put that n it helps to relieve/prevent the pain n blisters at the back of the foot or it makes walking in the new boots easier.... Can't remember which.....was too excited to find a pair tt I was not really listening :blushing:

I got the insoles that just go under the heel..I actually stacked two in order to create sort of a hidden wedge (I always feel like I'm falling backwards when I wear flat shoes). I definitely did not get blisters while breaking in the boots. But after two years, this winter I found that the insoles started shifting around when I walk, so I had to take them out. I will probably try the heel/arch supports inserts that stop at the ball of foot.

Congrats on finding the boots! What color?

I think we are all in the same boat when it comes to these boots!!! My DH has to help me out of them at home or my kids all get a huge laugh watching me trying to get them off myself!!!!

I have noticed that several of you have commented on how difficult it is to get these boots off. I wanted to share the wonder of a "boot jack." Makes the whole process so much easier! You can get them at any Western Store or likely online. They are a game changer, I even travel with mine in my carry on when I go through security to get my boots off easily. HTH! :p
