Hi everyone, I am new to purse forum. I was reading the post about the Hermes Jumping boots. Can anyone tell me how the sizing runs? I do not have an Hermes in my city and haven't ever tried them on. For reference, I wear a 42 in Chanel and Louboutin. I have very slim legs but a high arch but I'm just not sure about the sizing. Thanks very much!

I went with my normal size, a 36. A 35.5 in the foot and a 36.5 in the calf would have been ideal; I put insoles and 2 heel pads to take up some of the extra room in the foot, but had to stretch the shafts just to get them on. Maybe this is a sign that I need custom made boots  Incidentally, my black pair seemed smaller in the shaft than my rouge pair, and both are a size 36. Just goes to show, it's best to try them on before buying; but going with your normal size is a good starting point.

True to size for me and I have several pairs. Can I enable anyone here with this amazing photo from our dear robee? Just to prove that these are year around boots?

Thanks so much, ladies. I do not have an Hermes store in my city so I don't have the luxury of trying these on before purchase. I have someone going to Europe and they have what I think is my size over there so I might have them bring them home to me. But the downfall is, is they don't fit for some reason I'm gonna be stuck with them. so I'm trying to make the best decision possible. I'm worried if I wait for them to restock here the price may go up again when they do. Have any of you ladies found that you wear the same size in these boots as you do in Louboutin or Chanel shoes? Thanks again!

errrm.... TT, i think you have at least 3 pairs. that'll be one in each colour black, rouge, etoupe. But i guess you secretly have backup pairs of each of these. :graucho:

MsTiffy, I think if the boots don't fit, you can return them to a local H store in the nearest city as soon as viable with a receipt. You might be able to get a credit or exchange for another pair. Some of the ladies here may chime in on store policies in your country.

Well, I also have brown (mocha) It was MaiTai and Ani who pushed me over the edge on those (I totally blame THEM!) frankly they were a good investment.
No back ups of the jumping boots, but I do have other brand boots. But the Hermes jumping boots are my FAVORITE!!!

I imagine that they would restock stores before the fall; I bought both my pairs during the summer a few years ago and recall that members were having trouble finding some sizes in stores by fall. As for sizing, since you probably won't have trouble with the shaft being too tight, I'd get your normal size as a starting point. I generally find Hermes shoes to run big so you could get away with going a 1/2 size smaller if that's all that is available, again, especially since you have slim legs; I definitely wouldn't suggest sizing up until you've actually tried on a pair. As for comparing to Louboutin (don't have any Chanel so can't help you there), I go down by 1/2 a size in Louboutin as well as for Hermes' Oran and Oran type sandals. For Hermes boots, I cannot size down even though the foot part is too big, because the shaft becomes too tight on my calves. Hope this helps!

Now I need help from all of you girls. After seeing all of you wearing your jumping boots I finally purchased my first pair in brown. I wear jeans quite a bit & like the look of brown & denim. I just saw the etain was coming for fall in a softer leather, any opinions? Any pix?

An official outing with my H jumping boots. Still need some major breaking in on them.

Ladies, can someone explain the cut Jumping boots come in? Is it just the asian cut (shorter and wider shaft) and regular (taller and narrower shaft). Or are there more variations?
Also, if someone has these in size 40, 40.5 or 41, can you post a shaft circumference? what is the largest calf it will fit?
THank you sooooo much in advance! I have a pair on hold in Germany and need to decided if I should send my friend to get them for me :)
