I love what you got. I went to the MP Men’s event too and almost bought the scuba horse sweatshirt, but went with a summer button down shirt instead. I enjoyed learning about the fabrics, designer inspiration and technical details from the merchandisers. (But agree, wish there would have been some nice snacks
)
Haha.
Nice! Yes, I agree, it was interesting chatting with the merchandisers about the "wave" theme and inspiration behind that and learning about the different fabrics. They were definitely passionate about their work, so that's always good to see! I really like the scuba horse sweatshirt- I wore it last weekend already! Very cozy and whimsical. Glad you got a shirt for summer! :flowers:

And my SA said he hasn’t received the buy book yet for FW
Madison said no look book for mens exists yet  There was just a women’s RTW event for fall offsite, so you might want to ask your SA to keep you in mind for a slot next season. There were clients from Meatpacking there too.
my SA out of the blue offered me a B25 black ostrich with RGHW!! (This is literally our second time shopping with him and we have very little spend history at this store so I was shocked!)
Yay! :drinks:
My DH will also be looking for "boring shirts",
@Bdbunny, @jbeans, i almost think DHs should get together to shop lol. I think @Tykhe ’s DH shops too
BBK25 GHW. I'm preeeeetty sure I'll take it.
Yay! :drinks:
.I shop at the Madison store, how long would you suggest waiting (e.g. how many appointments with the same SA, how much to spend with someone) before bringing up the "I'm interested in a QB" comment?
Whenever you want to. They assume people will speak up if they want something  I think they would be surprised if you didn’t want one. Even a comment like, may I ask how long the wait is for ___ , or as @DoggieBags suggests, what are the chances, can start the conversation

ETA: DH’s favorite ‘boring’ shirt (he texted me to ask if i liked it on him  SA and I convinced him to buy a back up one

I  that idea!

This is what my DH ended up getting from the men's event. I'm glad he's open to two-tone sweaters now.

(^ that is not my DH )
Ohh my DH has that shirt but in bright purple. He loves it lol. My husband wears bright colors. Me, not so much.

He recently made a rose Sakura colored cardigan at the mtm event at Madison. He is very excited. They don’t usually make men’s clothing in light pink

No men's look book yet, BUT my SA was able to put orders in for DH and me based on runway screenshots I sent. Definitely doesn't hurt to call dibs early, this collection is gonna do very well I suspect.

Thanks! DH looked at the runway show, sent screenshots, and placed his orders that way. Lol. :hugs:

Woohoo! so edgy!!

And yes, the hubbies should get together and shop!! And the "boring" shirt on your DH looks great, @880!!

My SA told me that he wasn't even aware the women's RTW was being held and he was annoyed he was not notified of it. :-s

taking it back to a basic question...because things have changed so much in the last 1-2 years with Hermes...I shop at the Madison store, how long would you suggest waiting (e.g. how many appointments with the same SA, how much to spend with someone) before bringing up the "I'm interested in a QB" comment? understand there's no perfect rule and there's technically nothing stopping anyone from bringing it up right away at a first visit even but what do folks think will will have the SA not vomit on the request...
Agree with @880. I gave my wishlist to my SA on the first visit. It was very straightforward and there was no weirdness. He asked me what leathers I like and what colors I like, and even had me tap the color choices on the phone under my DH's profile.

Sometimes I wonder, do they want to sell merchandise lol  The off site NY location was really nice and very hipster (in the Bowery) but the entrance wasn’t the street address, and a bunch of us would not have known where to go but for two individuals hanging out on the street, who said you look like you belong with the people who went around the corner. (My friends SA said she was also confused when her Uber let her off, like this is not the place lol). And then when we got to the floor the event was on, there was no signage. So a bunch of us joked that we kept opening the door to some corporate breakfast meeting lol.

At a normal trunk show, you can place Orders. My SA wasn’t there, so the SM said she was taking notes on what I liked. But, it’s unclear to me if that means anything will show up. . . It was also not certain whether word had come down from corporate whether some pieces were solely runway and would not be produced for the boutiques. Also a shearling shrug without button closures was priced the same as an entry level Tesla plus a retail priced leather Birkin, so. . .. :hrmm::facepalm: I posted pics of the RTW on the RTW thread.

Hello everyone! I am very new to the H journey (started shopping about a few months ago) and in that time have spent a 1:1 ratio (fine jewelry, watches, and shoes). Although I know there is no hard and fast rule, my general understanding from this thread and forum is that the ratio needed to receive a qb bag is much higher nowadays especially in the competitive stores. During my last appointment with my SA, he reviewed my wishlist unprompted and mentioned that it would take a bit longer to get what I wanted since I’m looking for a K25 in a neutral color.

Will continuing to buy items help my chance at getting a qb faster or would waiting have the same effect? I wouldn’t get anything that I didn’t want in the first place, but just wondering if making additional purchases will help expedite the wait? Thanks very much!

Real talk…I think the wait at 1:1 is basically infinite. They don’t go down a list and finally get to you; it’s a constant on-going competition where likely everyone else still waiting is also still spending, putting you further behind. Also as time goes by, your profile gets more stale. Why would they give someone who hasn’t shopped for months a coveted bag when Susie wants the same bag and comes in to shop every week?

Thanks that’s helpful, appreciate the candid advice.

Hi All! Does anyone know if purchasing a non-quota bag goes towards your spending? I wanted to purchase a gift and I'm between H bag and another brand, I'm leaning towards H because the quality is just so good and I think my SA will be able to get the bag, but was wondering if i'll count towards my spending for a quota? Thanks!

there are a lot of posts re this question (click link above). When TPFers post their prespend, this usually excludes non QB.

ETA: also see, post 814 by @acrowcounted in this thread and others: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/spend-threshold-for-b-k-c.1032182/page-55
