Hermès New York City Stores

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best New York store to start my Hermes journey in? I’ve bought few smaller items in Hermes Boston and in the FSH store in Paris, but want to get into the Hermes game in my city!
Visit all 3 to get a feel of the arena that you’ll be battling in. Chat with SAs. Many like Madison for stock, MP for SAs friendliness, some do well in Wall St but it’s up to you where you feel most comfortable. Good luck

Hi! Im planning to visit NYC this end of month and I heard from my friend that Madison store has segment specific SA like FSH store. Is this true? Also is there a chance to score non QB or (ik wishful thinking) QB at Madison for tourist since the way they work is similar to FSH? TIA
Flagship stores assign specialties to SAs to have a point person in charge of ordering/stocking/expertise in a particular department. The similarly to FSH ends there.

Apparently it is possible to score a bag in Madison as a tourist but you have to drop a lot of $$$ (up to 5:1 depending on the bag you want).

I saw in a Facebook group a few months ago that a tourist spent 50k and walked out with two Birkins and one non quota bag.

For 2B and one non quota with 50k prespend. Isnt the math like 1.5-2:1 for a bag then?
Sorry, I forgot some details. Fisrt, I saw a post that you could score with a 5:1 pre-send as a tourist in Madison. Then, there was another story about the tourist that walked out with two Birkins, but it only said NYC and not the specific boutique (I forgot to add this detail).

Madison does have departments just like any flagship and most large stores; however, a scarf specialist/homewares manager/etc. can sell you bags.

Otherwise it's not like FSH or any Paris store, at all of which tourists can only make a leather appointment via lottery, and can get bags without a profile or "prespend".

It is like other US flagships in large cities, where locals with a big profile are vastly preferred, but if you hit it off/buy something meaningful, they have stock and therefore you have a shot. As with any such situation, my personal advice would be to buy only something you want, not as a means to a bag, and only if you really think buying it at your home store is not a better path.
For non-Birkin, Kelly, Constance, KTG/CTG, or very coveted bags like mini Lindy - bags other than those are a bit easier as a walk-in.

thank you for the detailed explanation! Will keep this in mind when Im visiting the Madison store. It’s always better to not have any expectations to prevent any disappointment :D I will probably just go to the store to admire the store, bags in display, and the statue. Maybe grabbing some stuff that I really really want if they have any stock. But thanks again for explaining :)
