Do you know if the design is embroidered on there or if it’s painted? I wonder if they’re pulling out older pieces for display or if they’re remaking it.
If I remembered correctly, it was from the fall/winter 2023 collection.
According to the artist Jan Bajtlik’s instagram page, the bag is hand-painted.

Has anyone recently gotten a Kelly 30+ from the Madison Ave store? I feel like my SA is a pathological liar when it comes to availability.
funny you should say that. I had a K28/30 on my wishlist and 2 weeks ago was open to a B30. This would be my 1st bag. Well I got the B30 this week so 🤷?
You mean a standard, classic K32 or k35 +? Or do you include a Kelly messenger or travel Kelly?
I think a B30 is still much easier and more popular at Madison than a traditional K32/35. Once I asked how hard it would be to get a regular bolide 31. (I had just gotten a 1923 rainbow at FSH). My SA ran through the sales going back like 10 months and found only one bag. (They can also search countrywide)
Madison is one of the highest grossing H maisons in the world, but the buy is weighted heavily towards popular stuff it knows it can sell. So, your SA simply may not have seen one on a long time, or been authorized to offer one. (Im not including specialty blue box or other Kelly bags that might come in larger sizes) JMO

I wonder if there is any concern over the paint cracking or flaking off over time. It certainly is impressive.
If it has been a long time you are waiting for one, go talk to the assistant managers in leather and ask them. They know what is coming and approximately when. They can also get you one from Paris or another store if that is all you want and it has been a while.
I would “switch” after I got a qb and travel to nyc in the meantime. Your wishlist won’t transfer because it’s just an informal list your SA is keeping for you.
Also, I would not mention anything about moving to your SA until you get your next bag. Even if you relocate before the bag arrives, you won’t want to lose that prespend or your “place” in line with the store. Fly in to pick it up.
I would go visit the ny stores to see which ones vibe best suits you and if you like any of the SAs. I spent over a year vacillating between Madison and WS bf I decided to stick with my first SA at WS. Post covid, I decided on Madison.
