Spend threshold for B/K/C

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

This is why I don’t take shopping bags or boxes lol. If it’s a naked item, shorn of its tissue paper, tags, and other stuff, it can’t really be brand new, can it :P

i do not discuss my shopping habits with non TPF friends or my family. I don’t know anyone else’s exact prespend. I have had to repeatedly tell my mom that she cannot just walk in and buy a birkin or kelly, but I don’t mention prespend or anything else.
that’s wisdom!

+1 with @momoc

No one said H is fair. Having said that, someone else on this forum once posted that her friend got a coveted Qb with an estimated 1:1 spend, and it turned out that the friend simply counted items for her own use, not gifts for family or purchases by others on her acct.
Indeed, there’s too much talk in prespending that might not be reflective of the real situation.

At the end of the day, maintain a good and sustainable relationship with your SA. I’m sure he or she will look after you. Manage the expectation. The quota bag won’t appear instantaneously. Try not to be influenced by the offers and stories circulating on social media. Comparison really makes it worse. It might even cause a downward spiral for your relationship with the SA.

Enjoy the H journey!

What about exotic bags? Do they count towards prespend @acrowcounted do you think?
All non quota bags will help your profile to some extent. Is a $20k exotic lindy more helpful than a $20k Diamond bracelet?Probably not. Is a $20k exotic lindy more helpful than a $3k RTW piece? Probably. Beyond that there are too many variables to make any meaningful blanket statement and folks should really stop trying.

That makes sense.

Didn't know that non quota bags had some benefit to profile and spend. Thank you for this .... and as always ... WAGOS

@addiCCted actually, exotics can hurt your spend ratio.

This is new-ish information to me and I was rather blown away when I was told, but coming down from corporate, they are beginning to view category ratio versus overall spend more & more.

They are now looking at the ratio of handbags you are purchasing versus other categories. The handbag category is more "frowned upon," for lack of phrase, versus items in fine jewelry, homewares, RTW... Let's say you buy an exotic Lindy, for example. Your handbag category ratio may disproportionately skyrocket versus if you purchased a leather Lindy, if that makes sense, and an SM may decide to block an offer presented by your SA based on this.

That means they are getting focused on pre spend ratio. May I check which country this is referring to?

It may depend on the sa and the store bc my sa said in no uncertain terms that bags definitely do not count. In my store it’s more looked at like a “favor” to you to get you a bag.
I asked my SA if accepting a non qb would delay a qb and reply was no, so I went ahead with the non qb. Now let’s see if the qb comes in the next few months.
