Stock at the duty free in Rome isn’t great. I was just there on Saturday. I did manage to get a small RTW piece but stock was sooo limited. I’ll post my purchase later today. Shoes were limited they only had the chypres in etope, no other colours. I didn’t see espadrilles. They had a few scarves. There was a lady there upset she couldn’t buy any bags. The whole experience was quite awkward. But on the bright side you get the 22% VAT refund on the spot, so I was happy with my purchase.Another question, how is the stock at the duty free store in the Rome airport? I'm looking most likely for shoes, orans and/or espadrilles, maybe scarves.
Thank you for the live update! I’m transiting through CDG so perhaps I’ll have better luck there.Stock at the duty free in Rome isn’t great. I was just there on Saturday. I don’t know if this is still the case but in late 2022 and late 2023, I travelled to all 3 of the cities you mentioned. Florence and Venice had no bags in stock and the SA in the Florence boutique said BCK are for local only. Same with Rome (I gotten 2 non-quota bags in Rome) and the SA told me the same thing, BCK are now only for local folks via wishlist. Don’t let this stop you from asking, no harm in asking but I will say this from my personal experience with Italy Hermes, if you walk in and ask for a bag right away….”no/none” will always be the answer. I watched so many tourists get shut down immediately.Hello! I’m going on vacation to Italy in August and September for the first time. I’ll be in Rome, Venice, and Florence, so a couple opportunities to visit Hermes. Is a Constance considered a quota bag in Italy the way it is in my home store in Toronto? Or will I have better luck scoring a Constance while on vacation in Italy this summer? TIA!
I was there around 6:00 and got in with 8 people in front of me waiting inside. I was told no small bags but saw people getting offered a B30 in etoupe. Not sure if the customer is local. I ended up getting a leather strap for my Apple watch which is still better than walking out empty handed.Good luck @chkpfbeliever !
I’ll be there next week so interested to hear how you get on..!
Congrats !! Did you take the offer ? This is such a practical travel bag. I had one in etoupe years ago and it went with me to FSH.Glad you got something you wanted @chkpfbeliever
I was there with 2 friends last Thursday morning. No line outside but quite a long wait inside. We bought some makeup and then asked about Evelynes. No TPMs but I was happy to be offered a PM in Étoupe.
Thank you, yes, I did. Very happy!Congrats !! Did you take the offer ? This is such a practical travel bag. I had one in etoupe years ago and it went with me to FSH.
Leather department SAs are not particularly friendly, the rest depends on which day/time you’re visiting the store, gets busy on the weekendsI will be visiting Milan next week..how is the store? And is it worth visiting? Edited to add read over some posts ..Will go if I have time else I am quite happy with my local store![]()
I got there 30 mins before close the day I arrived in Milan and they were not too excited to help me- understandable. The SA I was paired with though was very pleasant. I asked her for a bastia/calvi in a new color and got one in vert peppermint. I asked for any mini bags available and she said she'll keep an eye out and advised to come back the next day. The next day, she offered a mini roulis and mini jypsiere. I didn't take either but was pleasantly surprised that they had those bags to offer tourists.I will be visiting Milan next week..how is the store? And is it worth visiting?
