Leather department SAs are not particularly friendly, the rest depends on which day/time you’re visiting the store, gets busy on the weekends
Thx so much!
I got there 30 mins before close the day I arrived in Milan and they were not too excited to help me- understandable. The SA I was paired with though was very pleasant. I asked her for a bastia/calvi in a new color and got one in vert peppermint. I asked for any mini bags available and she said she'll keep an eye out and advised to come back the next day. The next day, she offered a mini roulis and mini jypsiere. I didn't take either but was pleasantly surprised that they had those bags to offer tourists.
Thx so much!

I will be visiting Milan next week..how is the store? And is it worth visiting? Edited to add read over some posts ..Will go if I have time else I am quite happy with my local store :coolio:
Feedback from my visit to Milan. I was very pleasantly greeted when I entered. I wandered around and then asked for a leather appointment. The SA just asked me to take a seat and offered me something to drink. No bags for sale for me except for a vide-poches which was actually really nice. It was in Caban and can hold all the essentials. It’s closed on top so maybe safer than TPM Evelyn. It was a very nice visit. I saw a B 25 being offered to maybe a local.

I will be in Italy to celebrate a milestone birthday. I would really like a Jige Elan Clutch (open to a variety of colors). I would really love a Constance, but I am trying to be realistic. Any thoughts on trying to obtain bags in Milan or Venice are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Milan is the one store in Italy that should be avoided, loads of in-house corruption and unpleasantness towards spending costumers. It's a pity that it has turned into what it is nowadays, in the past I can guarantee that shopping there was a true delight. I have several good friends of mine who are regulars and big spenders in Milan and they all complain about the service they have been getting for the last couple of years, it seems as if with the bigger store the atmosphere there has gone downhill.
I know two people who changed stores, one was a VVIP.

Tell me more about this in-house corruption? I am very curious about it. Both people that moved complained about bag distribution, it seems that some people get lots of bags, other people even if they spend a lot get much less, and the wishlist system seems to not have any rhyme or reason. You see non-locals scoring MKs with little prespend, while locals with great presend either can’t get one or take years to get one.

Milan does offer some NQBs to walk-ins every day if they have them available. Sometimes even HAC. No Constance, Kelly Elan or the like.

Hi .. I went Milan H on Saturday.. packed .. had to wait in a queue ..staff ok a bit busy / overworked vibe ....got / offered and bought a picotin 18 ghw blue de France .. I'm not a customer ever at Milan H , no SA , not local ( I'm from London UK ) and £0 prespend in Milan . Will post pic in a bit. No SA contact given but was told I was lucky to which I replied I'll try the lottery then !😂. Left from mxp term 1 and the Hermes in the airport ( 7 .30 am ) staff were so friendly and polite . There was a mini Lindy but not available to sell lol ..

That is great dear❤️, my experience is that if Milan has NQBs in stock, they will offer them without prespend (excluding KE, KD and Constance). They have NQBs everyday, but some days the picks are very slim.

I love Blue de France❤️, I think it is a fabulous bag ❤️, you will have so much fun with it!

Most Italian stores in tourist destinations offer NQBs when available without prespend. QBs are through wishlist, unless one is very lucky or spends a lot at once.

You were lucky to find the Picotin❤️, sometimes they only have one available to sell to walk-ins, most times they have none, or they go to the first people that walk-in. 🥰

For anyone shopping in Italy for any brand, you can ask for full tax free back, so you get 18 percent minus fees and conversion.

Even if it is a legal right, not all stores do it, but you can always ask.

You generally get 12 percent minus fees and conversion. Chanel gives 14, LV used to have a percentage based on how much you spend, not sure how it is now, but it always start at 12 percent.

It is also helpful to know that the tax refund providers have agreements with the brands, so generally that 6 percent difference they split with the brands. Yes, the brands are also making money on your tax refund.

Anyone have any update recently on getting bags in Italy (tourist destinations)? QB and Non QB?
It is a wishlist system mainly for locals (stores also cover the neighboring countries that don’t have stores). If you spend a lot at once you might be able to negotiate QB at a store, but I wouldn’t spend expecting one.

Non QBs are available for purchase on first come, first serve basis (no KE, KP, KC or Constance).
