Maybe you could try ordering through UK webpage and then picking it up from the boutique?
If your flight out of Heathrow is to a non-EU destination, then yes, you'll get the VAT free price, which is 20% less than boutiques. Take boutique price (either check pricing thread or UK H.com) and divide by 1.2 for the VAT free price.
You can try calling H at T5 perhaps a day before to check on stock and reserve. Alternatively, you can try Heathrow's Reserve and Collect or Personal Shopping Service to help you on that front. (I personally haven't had much luck calling the store when I tried in the past.) Good luck!
The store in Bond St is having a complimentary pop up cafe until Monday May 30 for the Carnets d'Equateur tableware collection by Robert Dallet. It's open from 11am till 4pm except on Sunday and the bank holiday on Monday, from 12pm till 4pm.
I only took a few pics, so the first few are from Instagram.
Each patron can choose from a selection of tea or coffee and a plate of sweets will be provided. I ate one before I remembered to take a pic!

Yes, I'll fly to non-EU. So I'll need to consider the price difference...
I wonder if I can call much earlier, say weeks before. Would they hold an item for me for so long?
Another question, is the shop in T5 big? What do they have when u visited?

Hi all, i'm new to Purseblog. My question is, I went into the Hermes boutique in Sloane Street London last Saturday and asked the SA about a Birkin. She asked me what size I wanted and then asked me to give her my details. Does anyone know if this is normal and whether this means I have any chance of getting one? Thanks in advance
I think it might be better for you to work with the personal shopping service at Heathrow. And usually airport H stores will only hold for a few days, if that. Most would only reserve for 24 hours.
I can't speak of the T5 store as I haven't been yet. I was trying to call ahead to find out inventory as DH travels and flies regularly from T5. (No one answered when I tried calling) Good luck!

I wasn't aware there was a store at T5...I thought only T3 had an H.
