Hi Londoners! What is the latest consensus on the QB offering - does it solely depend on the allocation team or can SA put aside a QB for you? Or it depends on which store you're shopping at?

The reason I'm asking is I'm after a few specific colours, but since in the wish you put a colour range, I'm worried that if it comes from the allocation team it might be the shade I don't like (vs from SA who knows which colours I specifically want). Declining your granted wish and not being offered anything then is not great.

I think it depends on your relationship. When you make the wish you can specify colour families, but within that in the notes section you can note the specific colours you like. My SA has in the past offered me QBs in colours which were not in my wish they thought I might like, I think probably because they recognised I had waited a while for the wish and they wanted to make me happy.

I agree, after I waited 3 years since my last SO/ QB, I was offered a couple of things not exactly on my wishlist including non QBs. In this case I do not think declining would have any impact as it wasn't in the specs requested anyway. I recently accepted a K25 and had my wish renewed for the 4th time. To answer your question, in my own experience, all my bags offers are influenced by all three factors of allocation team, my personal SA and the specific store. Hope your most preferred wish comes true soon!

I would agree with the other answers.

My offers for QB and non QB have been decided by a number of factors. My SA(s) have always tried to really get to know what my preferences within colour families are and my offers reflect this.

My most recent purchase was C18 Gold GHW and although not a quota bag, I specifically emphasised that a) I wanted a gold GHW bag in general, whether it be a P18, C18 or B or K and b) for a C18 it was the ONLY colourway I would purchase in that style.

I have also not had a QB since end of 2023 so I think they made sure my next bag fitted my requirements to pacify me even if it wasn’t a wishlist QB.

SA definitely plays a part in what you get offered. They insist on a separate allocation team and that they have no influence on the offer— and then occasionally, you’re offered a bag that wasn’t exactly your wishlist, but with the exact specs your SA asked if you’d be interested in “if one became available”. My SA absolutely pulled strings to offer me my first QB within a specific timeframe.

Thanks for the story time too. When you said you haven't had a QB since 2023 and now they offered you a C18 - was it hinted that it is instead of QB this year you think? Or just while you're waiting for your wishlist bag?

I made one in April this year. I believe they are year round - but know there was a flurry offered then. Maybe someone else can give better insight?
My SA told me that the SO have been finished and the next one will be in the next few months. is this correct? if they really are all year round I think I'm not considered good enough for SO hence why they told me that 😅

Next time get your SA to buy them online whilst instore and use the address of the same store to collect from.
That wasn't an option. There was only one pair of these boots in another store and because of the popularity of the item a transfer wasn't possible. But next time I will take your advice. Do you think this will hinder my chances to get a quota bag/ Constance in London? Do they take into consideration items bought online?

I don't think that quite is what PT meant.
Hermes.com is a different part of the business to the retail outlets.
You are thinking about SAs arranging a store to store transfer .
I think PT is referring to SAs making an online order on your behalf. This is not the same as an SA ordering something for you from inventory available to boutiques.

In any case this thread is about London boutiques and it is established that pre-spend ratios are not quite how it works here.

And I would repeat that if your regular store cannot supply what you want and you have to source it another way, that should not count against you.
