That's good. I wouldn't worry, just be patient and wait for your SO to arrive. After that, that wishlist bag email will naturally be sent to you in good time. 😉

So today is my birthday and I said I would do my unboxing!

After three SAs in less than a year, I was a little bummed. It’s also been a really difficult period in life the last 18 months - my husband has been going through a really tough time and I’ve been under a lot of pressure and stress. I just wanted a nice birthday.

Well, my new SA took a lot of time to get to know me in a very short time (less than a month). I’m also awful with surprises. I don’t make it easy.

Anyway, I saw my SA last Friday and mentioned my bestie was visiting from Italy the next day. He told me to swing by and he’d like to meet her.

So we did - they met and it was lovely. He gave me a box of Pierre Herme macarons (my favourite) and a birthday card and I thought that would be it.

Then he says he has something to show me, he isn’t sure if I’ll be disappointed but he tried his best (I said I wanted a MK haha).

He brings out a box and my mind is racing.. I think it’s a Constance box. But I’m not sure, I’ve never seen one in real life in store. Then I’m thinking, he said I might be disappointed.. maybe it’s an Elan? Not in the colour I want?

He starts unboxing.. holy s***! I’m looking for what’s wrong with the bag, where is the fault? It’s the right colour? The hardware? The style?

It’s perfect. Constance 18 in Gold with GHW.

It’s not a Mini Kelly, but I don’t care. I’ve wanted a C18 for a while but only in this colourway and I’ve had a hard time finding Gold/GHW in any bag!

It should technically be possible, as a Constance isn’t a wishlist item any longer but they are still sought after so a SA may not prioritise you over someone else who doesn’t have a SO coming in. Best if you ask your SA as I don’t think there is a single correct response to this that applies to everyone.

Since they are all quite near I would try them all. My friend from Sweden was lucky in Selfridges, others as walk-ins CS or NBS. NBS probably has the most stock but it's also the busiest, try there first early in the day when it's quieter and from there you can try the others if you don't have any luck.

there is a distinction between something ordered in for you by the boutique
and something ordered on your behalf from the website for collecting at the store

some items are only available from the website and are not available for the stores to order

probably more important, however you buy, is you being well known and liked within the boutique

An old friend of mine was visiting London this week. She asked me to help with a H hook up but my SA is on holiday.

I said that her best bet was to go to the boutiques early and see if she could get lucky. She wasn’t looking for a QB but mainly a Lindy.

She went yesterday and they said no stock / delivery.

She tried her lucky again today and managed to score a Lindy 26 in Trench GHW. She said they also had quite a few mini Evelyne and apparently someone ahead of her managed to get offered a Constance in a dark colour.

I guess it really is whether luck is on your side!
