Does anyone know how difficult it is to get an TPM Evelyne at any of the London stores? I have a good profile in another market (not the UK). I forgot to bring a bag while travelling, and I am using it as an excuse to buy something new.
i think for mini eve if they have one or some in stock, and you ask for it, they definitely will offered it to you. so it is really depends on if you come in the right time. and you definitely need no prespend for that. I suggest try the standalone boutiques like New Bond Street or Cadogan Place. They once offered me Lindy 26 black ghw with no prespend, but I decline. Good luck!

Not really, the SA will still get commission and the transaction counted. Collecting is just another opportunity to connect with your SA and the store.
Is it a fact that your SA still gets commission when they order things for you online. There’s a necklace that I want but they don’t have it in store only online and my SA suggested we order it but don’t want him to miss out on commission so was thinking of buying an alternative from the boutique’s inventory.

Also what is the process for getting a Constance in London?

the idea that you make you choice based upon whether your SA receives commission, or not, seems completely wrong to me

are the rules about commission in London understood?

Well it’s how he makes his living and the only real way to show him I appreciate him is by continuing to shop with him and commission is a part of that. Given that SAs can’t accept gifts. I don’t see anything wrong with taking into account what the SA might gain from a transaction. After all they are there to make money.

What are the rules on commission? I’d love to know if you have any info

They are there to make their clients happy. They are compensated for that. Your SA suggested himself that the necklace should be ordered. So long as you shop and purchase what you love, he’s fine. It would be worse to buy a second choice available in store bc it’s not really what you want. Satisfied clients tend to buy more and return less.

I also agree with @WhiteBus and @Letter that it’s important not to overthink these things and just shop. Only buy what you absolutely adore and cannot live without. For an SA, making x commission on a few items isn’t going to be that big of a deal and developing a relationship with an SA also isn’t a quid pro quo transaction.

As for the Constance, I would simply ask him what would be the approximate timeline for you to get a Constance. JMO as I’ve only bought a few items at NBS and CP. But SAs have certainly asked DH and I whether we are interested in non QB bags.

ETA: if you don’t see anything you like on a visit to the store. It’s fine not to make any purchases. It might be helpful to say to your SA, I’m looking for something like xyz, and it’s possible he can look for you and suggest an alternative. :)

ETA: I would never establish a relationship with an SA who is primarily commission driven. Bc there will be conflicts of interest. Not everything that’s high commission is going to be a great fit for a client.

I’ve heard that they do not. If the sales target for the entire store is met, I believe they get an additional 400-600 pounds gross, not sure if monthly. It is definitely not like the U.S.

SAs might care about making sales to be promoted, but I heard in two stores in London from SAs that they do not make individual commission, and one SA told me what I just wrote above.

In Paris it seems to be very similar, they get a slight increase when sales targets are met, and I believe there are 3-4 a year. It is store based also.

Net it is not much, hence they do not consider they are making commissions.

My understanding from an ex Hermes SA in London is that comission in the boutiques is pooled (ie: split amongst the team) I also believe that if they make a stretched target or exceed it they get a bonus at some point again this is the same for all staff members in the boutique.
