If I want to take a vintage bag to the H spa, can I drop it off at any H boutique in London and they’ll send it to the spa in Paris for me? Or do I need to go to NBS?
As far as I know, if it needs to go to Paris for major repairs you can drop it off at any boutique. If it's minor repairs and you take it to NBS they have an in house artisan. (Or they did at the beginning of the year, so hopefully still do!)

For a simple spa I have had an immediate assessment at NBS
that was quickly followed by a confirmatory email
Is this recently?
I know that it was on the agenda to reinstate an in house artisan at NBS but wasn't sure this had happened yet.
I ask because I have a Kelly in need of Spa and my SA told me to bring it in around October to avoid the post holiday back-up in France, I will add that he hasn't seen the bag.
It just needs some cosmetic work (I believe) so if NBS now have someone in-store I will take in in there in couple of weeks.

They definitely had a new one start in December last year, I dropped off a bag then. I also went back in mid January this year and had something else very minor done so I hope she's still there!

ah Asprey! Didn't Sir Norman Foster do some remodelling twenty years ago?
but we mustn't allow ourselves to go OT!
I loved years ago when Asprey and Garrard were one company together;
that is the location of the new future Hermes NBS boutique? Is the interior intact? Was there a large circular mosaic
and was that when Jade Jagger designed jewelry for them? Or am I imagining things  If so, I hope H will keep
some of this interior detail. I also adore Sir Norman Foster (we have emco chairs
that we use as dining room chairs. They are comfortable and stackable)
When I was last in London in 2022, I visited both NBS and CP and I loved CP. It felt very tranquil to look
out the picture window and see trees. That was before the new Madison Ave Store opened up, and compared
to the old Madison, the staff at CP was very nice to newcomers.

Asprey & Garrard are OT, their merger and Jagger's appointment as CD was also over 20 years ago and both were disasters. A CD is also not a designer (although she did design beaded stuff for her own small company before the cynical 'celebrity endorsement' appointment and still sells fine jewellery brand through her own company - available through Matches).

Hermes bought Asprey's store 2009 for £75M. The price was pushed up because Chanel also wanted it and the competition was fierce. This deal belied the downward trend, a drop of commercial and domestic property prices in London that started at the time.

What they can do on the inside depends on whether the building is 'just' Grade II listed or Grade II +. Asprey had a refurb fairly recently (2018/19) so my guess is it's the former. It will be a huge shame if the lift (elevator) is ripped-out and replaced with a glass box (that H is very fond of - NBS; refurb March 2015 by Artistic Director Denis Montel when the store went from 395 to 673M Square).

If anyone knows the square footage of the 165-167 New Bond St, let us know.

The planning application is available in full on the Westminster council website, where you can see proposed floorplans, including a roof terrace, proposal for a new lift location, retail spaces and the heritage statement which states that they will preserve the old 1920s lift!

Editing to say looks like total space will be 4499 sqm, 1720 of that being front of house, although I’m not clear if that will all be H or if some of the space will be sublet.

From the proposals/plans (I've only got to p.79 so far) it looks like they'll be taking up the whole block, including Givenchy (since a service lift for stock is planned at 22 Albemarle Street).
