Hello everyone, so I am about to start the Hermes game and I was wondering which store in the uk would I find an SA that’s friendly and snobbish like the Selfridges one(was there in December and left angry). Looking forward to your suggestions.
Try Harrods. I went in for a specific item (a saddle box so not a major expenditure) it was really busy but I left with the box and a SA email and direct phone number.

Perhaps in an attempt to allay my mild frustrations, I would love to hear anyone’s input on how long it took them to receive their B/K/C or any other high demand bag - such as a mini Lindy, mini Bolide or Kelly variations - at Harrods.

I’ve been registered for just over 2 years for a Kelly 32/35 and have roughly a 2:1 spend ratio across home, scarves, menswear and SLGs. (I find the idea of a spend ratio rather crass, but I’ve put it here as I understand that’s how some operate).
I appreciate Harrods have mega VIPs (of which I am not), but I have tried to establish a good relationship with one SA after failed attempts with several others (no response to an email/Whatsapp, requests to order some home items in store, after they gave me their contact details).

I short I am seeking reassurance that there have been some successes out there from the non-mega VIPs to give hope that it is possible to obtain a bag at Harrods?
I know it is a waiting game but I wonder if I am playing a game I won’t succeed in, if bags are allocated according to spend history and I am relatively small fry in a very big pond.
Would the suggestion be to take my spending to another store (where of course competition is still high but perhaps slightly more attainable), or stay with Harrods?
TIA

The only info I can give you (as I dont shop at Harrods) Is that there aren't many K 32's/35's being delivered at the moment (I want one and my SA said he hadn't seen any larger than a 28 in over a year) its due to everyone asking for smaller bags there dont seem to be as many being produced.
Same with B 35 and up.

I can’t confirm that you will be able to get a quota / high demand bag from Harrods but I’m in the same place at NBS (approaching 2 years, similar spend and a good relationship with my SA) and I haven’t been granted a wish as yet. Therefore, moving your spend to another store may not make a difference if you’re otherwise happy with the service.

As @maxroxxherhandbags said, big bags are quite hard to come by right now. My first wish was a B35 and when it expired my SA said it would be very hard to get one so I changed it to K28, that too expired. The stores just don’t order the bigger sizes as there is little demand for them, it would seem.

Some threads mention that SAs can see what bags are coming in subsequent shipments. Curious to know whether there is any truth to this and whether SAs can see if there are any larger sizes coming any time soon. Surely they could find out what’s been ordered at Podium if they wanted to?

Interesting insights, thank you both. I had made the presumption that the larger bags may be *slightly* easier to come by because they’re not as popular. It hadn’t occurred to me that the stores wouldn’t stock larger bags because of this reason… I find smaller bags look a little comical on me so I shall just have to wait my turn. Funny business all this, isn’t it?

I have an SA relationship and have been able to get a bag after each wishlist. I have heard stories where people did not spend much, but in my own experience, I am spending about 1:1 within 6 months and by the time my bag comes around (~8 months), I've already spent 1.4-2:1. I'm sure some clients spend a lot quicker than that, but just sharing my tiny datapoint. I do think overall, the most important is the SA relationship. I have received bags within 3 months of each other.

Hi, I’m currently on my second wish list which will expire within 4months and no bag whatsoever.
But, I need to admit, I’m not a big spender, I bought some scarfs, twillies, one tshirt and silver earrings. I would say my total spend is about 3k. Probably will have to renew my wishlist for third time, but I’m not in rush. I don’t want to spend on items which I don’t like or don’t need. I’ve seen one youtuber who lives in London, she finally received her wish after 3 or 4 expired wishlists

Might be the wrong thread, but anyone else super excited about the NEW London Flagship boutique? It’s on the same street as NBS but this one I heard is going to be amazing (of course it will be!)

News has already been posted about that in this thread.

Hermes will move to the 167 New Bond St (it already has owned the building for some years). It's unclear whether Givenchy (165) will have to move. As you can see the building (Givenchy is on the corner) is 3 double windows along, three floors of retail space, a basement and additional attic work rooms above. The building spans most of the entire 'block' and has windows and access to Albemarle Street (23). I've been on every floor and in almost every room. It's probably 3 x size of the present H store without Givenchy moving. It's such a beautiful building. I am probably the only person in the world who cares that Asprey were/are under such poor management that they had to sell in the first place, Asprey was like heaven on Earth. The NBS shop will go to Chanel (that's the plan anyway)

ah Asprey! Didn't Sir Norman Foster do some remodelling twenty years ago?
but we mustn't allow ourselves to go OT!

May I ask whether your 1:1 ratio includes non-quota bags inside?

thank you for the reply. Just wonder whether non-quota bags are considered inside the 1:1 ratio. In Asia, it is not.

We have no 'ratio' in London, we have availability or non-availability at SA's discretion. If you are not known, you are not likely to receive any bag, an SA will do their best for their client. So a purchase history comes into it, length of time someone's been a client, and what's bought but there is no ratio.
