Thanks
That makes me feel better. The London stores are so so super hard to shop in, but they're the only ones I can get to regularly so I am a bit stuck. Oh well the search continues...
I asked whether they had stock of Picotins at NBS today and my SA said they don’t. They are moving warehouses for London so they haven’t seen a big shipment in weeks is what I’m told. This may be why we’re seeing such poor stock at the moment. Hopefully you’ll get your Picotin soon!

Hey i have been reading all your posts with interest and have a question of my own. I was in NBS store trying to get a mini Evelyne and was told they didn’t have any. After talking with SA for a few minutes and saying how much I love Birkins she asked if I wanted to make a wish for one and I obviously jumped at the chance. It has been 3 months now and I have been back to store and bought other things but none of the SA’s have room for any new clients so I don’t have one. Who determines who gets the QB that come in? I have read so many mixed messages on this. Some people have not spent a thing since making a wish and still had the email to say one is available and others say your SA makes it happen for you. I just don’t want to be on wish list forever if there is no chance of getting the bag of my dreams.

Stopped into NBS and Selfridges in the last 24hrs. Stock is definitely limited still, new AW23 trickling in over the next few weeks. NBS suggested July 10 for new stock, Selfridges said 3-4 weeks. No bags at Selfridges today besides an Aline i saw offered. Didn’t bother asking at NBS.

I can only chip in with my experience. I will start by saying that I’ve not had my wishes fulfilled yet (I’m on wish #3 as they expire in 8 months - now possibly extended to 12 months) so I don’t know what will come of it but what I’ve found out from my SA is the following:

- There is a team at NBS who review what bags are delivered and allocate based on the wish list based on specs.

- The wishes are theoretically on a first come, first allocated basis, in that they allocate to the person who has been on the list longest for a bag with those specs.

- SA has mentioned being able to put in a word with the team that allocate bags for clients to try to speed up the process when you have that relationship with an SA. I don’t believe they make the decision who a bag goes to at all, but they may be able to influence if and when they would like to help a client get a bag.

Ultimately there are so many factors including what specs you want, how many other people want the same specs, what the store has ordered, your profile with the store, production and deliveries, influence of the SA… You have nothing to lose in staying on the list if you do want a Birkin. You don’t have to spend if you don’t want to - some people report that they’ve got a bag within 2-3 years without spend. No one knows what the magic formula is! (Probably because there isn’t one).

Yes, my SA said they’re aiming for 10th July for new season scarves too but they still haven’t received any stock so they’re waiting for new season items to arrive. Things from last season are still trickling in and some stock has just never arrived!

Can confirm wishes are now 12 months as of Feb. 2023. If you ask nicely, some SAs are extending if you made you wish close to that date.

To be honest I don’t see the difference between 8 months vs 12 months in terms of wishlist duration; it’s not like they go ‘omg, this person’s wish is expiring soon, quick offer them a bag!’

I’ve often heard (from SAs and an ASM at all stores except Selfridges) that “the system” allocates bags based on the specs listed in the wishes, and very recently an SA at CP said “the system doesn’t care about spending history when allocating, although there are still team members who review the decisions”. They also said the reason why the specs you can give on your wish are a lot more restricted than previously is because they’re trying to allocate bags better.

In our experience, purchase history and SA relationship don’t play a role in getting offers at CP. wishes can be fulfilled even with very limited spending, like a twilly, and no consistent SAs (our first wish was fulfilled within 2 weeks of setting it up and second wish was fulfilled within 4 months). I now shop at a different store where I don’t actually have an official wishlist per se, but still get offered bags which they think I might like. Who knows how the H system works!

One thing I can agree on is yes, to my utter surprise, bags are offered at stores where I have a prior relationship and yet have no wish, as you can only have a wish in one of the stores at any time. But it's not like I am keeping count of months passed waiting or when my wish expires. As ever I just buy whatever I love and fits me etc and any offer is a nice surprise.

Hi, I'm new to the Hermes journey. As mentioned in my previous post, my new SA at CP mentioned that they would only be able to help me with leather items. I would like a pair of shoes which I know are available online, in my size, but do I simply ask send them an email asking if they can order it in or would I need to be in store to ask this? Also, how would I broach the subject if they only work in the leather department? I really don't know how to proceed as I obviously want to buy items from different departments and not just leather. Thanks for all your help

For online order + store collection, I suggest you make an appointment to see your leather SA and tell him what items you want and leave it to the SA to either arrange all this himself or introduce the relevant SA in the department to help. When you email him, mention it all clearly so they can allocate time for you. As I understand it, you need to be in store to place the order in person and pay for it anyway. HTH!

I was recently offered a couple of Constances which were not on my wishlist but I have a reasonable relationship at this particular store. Both sizes, with and without the mirror. I declined them.
I have been wanting the Constance, but I was told it was no longer wish list. Please which store made u the offer, as mine is NBS and I was told from September it would be easier for me to get.
