In my experience SAs will reserve things for regular clients. I’ve had RTW, homeware etc on hold. But, I don’t think I am anywhere near high spending enough to have a Picotin reserved for me.

I was there last Monday and it was packed with incredibly wealthy tourists. Didn’t really see any locals such as myself.

As for quota bags I have never been offered one. I have shopped there since May 2021. But, as I said I am not a big spending client and have decided to shop online as the London boutiques are so busy it is almost unpleasant.
That’s a shame you haven’t been offered a QB if you have a wishlist since last year. I know it’s based on what you have requested but I would hope you would have been offered something. I class RTW and homeware as high spending … I haven’t ventured there yet and I don’t think husband wants more H items in the house !

You husband is a very wise man! I have little to no hope of getting a quota. Though I won’t lose sleep over it. Part of me thinks I may be black listed as have had to complain twice about past unnecessarily rude SAs at CP. Though in fairness I was in no way rude to anyone. I was extremely polite. But, I’m sure it has not gone unnoticed. Who knows!

I have found through my experience and those of my friends that being offered a QB in UK isn't all based on to spend and categories.
On the wish-list process at least (which tends to be more aimed at new clients and lower spenders, regular high spenders will still get their 2 QB offers PA).
I and 3 people I know were all offered bags on our wish-list with little pre-spend and 1 was Selfridges,1 in RE and 2 in CP.
This was last year however when I think there was less demand and awareness.
1 bag was a Black Birkin 25, 1 was Epsom etoupe Kelly 25 (or maybe 28? not sure which) and two others less popular sizes.
This year however I haven't heard of anyone I know getting a QB offer so far,

TBH, a year is nothing, especially if the Wishlist specifies sizes, colours and hw prefs of B/K/Cs. Requesting a more interesting bag may speed-up the request.

RTW and homeware are not high spending, unless one spends a lot on RTW or homeware. For me, unless you are in love with lots of the season's colours (and I love the 'Loden' green for AW22) and/or styles and create a capsule wardrobe, or want to buy a dinner service etc at once, then it's going to be a piece here or there (which is what I do) but that's not going to count as high spending in London where competition is fierce.

BTW London peeps, ATM, if you want downstairs at NBS you'll be fine but if you want upstairs there's a queue outside as well as sitting around upstairs even before midday.

I would recommend you make an appointment with your SAs before you go and send pics/codes/sizes, or if you don't have one already, hit the store 10am.

There are some items in hermes.com that can only be found in particular stores. Is it possible to request my preferred store to have that items in stock?
If you have an SA already at the store where the item supposedly is, you can ask them to reserve it for you. Or you can call Customer Service to request the reservation. The caveat is sometimes the stock check is inaccurate and the item is actually not in stock at that store, or it is but already reserved for someone else.

To be honest, I’m fed up of the competition and high spending in the hope of my wish list being fulfilled. The fact that resellers get a bag and genuine customers don’t is extremely off putting - I know this isn’t the forum for this topic. I’m grateful for what I have and there is nothing I want from H at the moment (except the QB). I’ve shopped for years and so now don’t know how to move forward. My gut is telling me to stop.

Just out of curiosity, what do you deem as high spending for London?

£30-ishK and up. Plenty of tourists do that, and it's more impressive if it's a single piece like on a watch, jewellery or double-faced or cashmere blanket/rare wood box or a leather outfit. Last in CP I saw someone pick-up a lamp they ordered and it was an astronomical amount.

Nothing wrong with anything H sells, but let's face it, umpteen Rodeo charms, C and O sandals, multiple twillys, Constance belt kits and clic-clacs etc are not going to buy brownie points in a shopping destination tourist area, however much they add-up to, they are basically Hermes pick 'n' mix add-ons. Harrods sells one-off gold/diamond pieces like they're sweeties.

Think logistically: The wishlist is to make sure that what comes in goes out ASAP. 2, 000 CP customers in front of you will have K/B 25 ghw on their list so chances are low, a 'bleu something' Geta means you're prob only up against 12 others.

I would never have said this 10 or even 5 years ago, but if people don't want the whole H lifestyle they are far better going to a reseller or trying Paris.

Wow ! You are so right ! I just couldn’t justify a £30k drop.

The situation is so critical that I had to put my name on a “wishlist” at NBS for a pair of sandals, far from special. After maybe 6 months, I’ve received this odd email saying the sandals I’ve expressed interest in had arrived and I had 2 days to go get it. I answered I would need 10 days because I was out of town and they conceded, but the day I went to collect it, I had to grab it and run, as it was crazily packed with people all over the place.
Then the other day I went to SELFRIDGES to try some Twillys. They opened the Twilly drawer and asked me:”which one of the 2 Twillys we have available would you like to try?”

Hi all. I hope my experience gives you some hope. I set up a wish list Christmas 2021 in CP for a K28 in a neutral colour. Since then I have gone into store about four times and bought scarves and costume jewellery. I love H scarves and it is probably very clear that I do. My SA is very nice and usually replies to my emails same day or next. I’d given up hope of getting my wish. But two weeks ago I was delighted to get the email (ironically just after receiving news of the passing of a dear friend). K28 in black and gold HW. A keeper. I made an appointment for the Friday afternoon.

The store was absolutely heaving with mainly visitors, high spending or with high hopes (eg mini Lindy). I had to wait an hour. I could see my SA was with a v high spending client buying RTW. In the end I approached another SA and told him very calmly how long I had been waiting and that I understood it would be difficult for my SA to leave such a client. He was very apologetic and brought me my bag. I’d now like some winter/fall scarves and a mini Evelyne (I expressed an “interest” when I bought the K but I’m not expecting anything). I emailed my SA last week but I’ve not had a reply. I think they are just so very busy right now - we’ve had two summers without many visitors and I think now they are back making up for lost time. For example I chatted to a woman in store from Malaysia who said bags are so much cheaper here. I’m now not going into store until September when I hope it will be less busy

I hope things are not to crazy in a few weeks for me as a tourist. I am looking for shoes and slgs. I just my visited my local store in canada and we have a lot of tourists too. I kind of like the fsh system where you have multiple sas per section so certain areas are not to crazy and gets clients out quickly who are buying one item.

I'm going to see my SA at CP tomorrow and have some items of rtw, shoes and jewellery I'm hoping to get. Just wondered if it's best in London to ask my SA if he has any non-quota bags after purchasing the other things? Or before? As I'm aware that stock goes fast in the capital.

Just do what feels right at the time
