Anyone got any tips on getting a Picotin in London? My regular boutique is CP and my SA there said they have them regularly but as with all things H they fly out.
Just a thought. If your SA knows you are after a picotin at CP would they not reserve you one ?

Also, can you give me your thoughts on CP as I’m thinking of moving there from my current store.

Do SA’s reserve stock items for regular clients is basically what I am wondering.

For those that shop at CP, do you have problems with the quota allowance?

Finally, is this store mainly with locals or tourists who spend spend spend.

Thankyou

No, just asking if people do get a QB here or if it is as difficult as Harrods. How are the SA’s at CP? And is it a predominantly UK clientele or because of its location more international? Just trying to understand more about the store.
In my experience, Harrods is the most touristy of them all, CP feels more like a ‘local’ store but does not mean competition is lower than Harrods or NBS. One time I saw a Russian-speaking customer spend £15,000 on RTW in one short visit at CP without breaking a sweat, and when she asked about her wishlist bag she was still told ‘ wishes are valid for 8 months, if we can offer you sth we will let you know’ (basically what they say to anyone asking).

I don't think it's difficult for a local, but yes they do have high spending tourists as well. I know some clients are regulars living aboard who are invited and fly in specifically for store events.

I'd suggest shopping where you find the service to be good (so Selfridges like you mentioned for example); their stock level might not be as high as the bigger stores but if you like who you work with/buy from, who is responsive and helpful in finding your desired items/ordering them in for you and generally makes your shopping experience enjoyable, it's much more important than shopping at a big boutique where there might be more stock but the SAs are unresponsive or disinterested.

In my experience SAs will reserve things for regular clients. I’ve had RTW, homeware etc on hold. But, I don’t think I am anywhere near high spending enough to have a Picotin reserved for me.

I was there last Monday and it was packed with incredibly wealthy tourists. Didn’t really see any locals such as myself.

As for quota bags I have never been offered one. I have shopped there since May 2021. But, as I said I am not a big spending client and have decided to shop online as the London boutiques are so busy it is almost unpleasant.
