Hermes boutiques in London

Thank you, I'll definitely try Paris method instead! Since I do not generally like Hermes stuff, I don't want to spend money just to be able to be offered a bag. I'd rather let luck decide, it's only a bag at the end of the day so not something I need.
No harm in also putting in a wishlist in London just for the fun of it. It will be a nice data point for the rest of us who wonder how honest H London is being with their “wishlist is the only way to get a quota bags and profile doesn’t matter” spiel.

That's true, when I get the time I'll pop in to get added to a waitlist. Would be interesting to see if I hear anything at all!

Maybe on my vacation I will do the same when shopping there and see if they ever call me up.

May I ask if you are local to London or traveling there regularly?

As a tourist, I found there was more stuff at NBS, (we found DHs size mens sweater that was sold out at home)
but the friendly relaxed vibe was at CP. During our visit to CP, DH got into an extensive conversation with the SA who complimented his watch (DH is nuts about ALange ). They debated, PP, AP, and ALange for a while, and when they eventually noticed me, I got offered the then new etoupe chèvre geta (declined bc I’m not a geta person). I’m pretty sure they would have been open to wish list, but I never thought to ask as we were tourists. We popped into Harrods and hated the bustle and hustle. And the same etoupe geta was on display but not for sale there. If you are open to trying out a few items, TPFers that I have met in NY, seem to like Royal Exchange’s wish list possibilities. Since it’s small, perhaps there is better luck (I’m sure someone will come along to correct or confirm this)

Hi all.
I have received an unexpected email with the offer of a bag that I'm not sure how I feel about.
B35, Lime, Epsom leather, palladium hardware.
At the time of making my wish I was less knowledgable and quite open to different specs but have since become more specific about what I'm looking for but never had a chance to update my wish.
I will go to see it before making a decision but would love if others could share their thoughts on the spec.

Also wondering... If I politely decline, will I ever have a chance of being offered another bag again? I don't want to end up buying it unless I love it but I'm scared if I say no I'll never have a chance of getting what I truly want.

Also if I go and spend a bunch of money on other things (maybe 3-4k) is there a chance they may happen to have something in the back that I would love instead of this offer? Does that ever happen?

Thanks guys!
Go in store and see the bag.
I personally don't like bright colours or epsom but thats just me.
I think Lime with PHW would be stunning however and epsom takes colour really well.
If you see it and don't want it Its ok to turn it down and I think you will get respect from your SA for being honest.
Don't spend money in the hope of being offered another bag on the spot.
With low inventory almost every bag is already pre-allocated.
You will get offered another bag if you turn that one down so feel anxious on that score

Thank you so much 880 and i am hoping to visit all the stores to find unique items. I kind of like the idea as a tourist putting my name on the wishlist because if I get called it becomes another vacation to London. I did this a few years ago for makers mark and waiting for my bottle to make it a bourbon and bbq trip.

I just travel there regularly as I live 2 hours away, so I either drive or catch the train often. Curious to see if they’ll let a brand new customer make a wishlist!

Ahh I would LOVE this bag!! For me the 35 is the original classic and the lime with phw is such an amazing color. Epsom is lighter than other leathers so the 35 won't be super heavy. Maybe you could snap a pic even if you don't get it and share? Good luck with your decision!!

NBS SAs do give out their WhatsApp numbers (mine did), but as with all SAs in whichever store, sometimes you happen to have one that isn’t responsive. If you’re not after a QB, or if you haven’t yet set up a wish/your wish is expiring very soon, I’d suggest switching stores, but if you have a wish at NBS that is still valid for a while or if you have built a substantial spend history there I’d suggest switching SAs within the same store. I also shopped with a few different SAs who were either condescending :annoyed: or unresponsive before being paired with my current one by chance and she is super responsive, helpful and organised.
That’s really good advice! Indeed some SAs are either condescending or unresponsive. The shopping experience is also very important. Do the store accept wishlist from tourists? I’ll be in London soon so I’m looking at what can be done. Thanks in advance!

From what I was told, you can make one, but they wouldn't make any special arrangements to take into account that you don't live in the UK, i.e. if they offer you a bag on your wishlist, it would be the case that you would need to come within 3 days to view it and pick it up in person, regardless of where you live in the world.
I have not made one yet for myself but from what I understand, the wishlist are for those based in the UK. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anyone seen Santorini sandals at any of the London boutiques lately? Apparently Customer Service no longer has visibility of shoe availability in store, maybe too many people called them asking about Chrypre sandals?
