you for sure will not get a birkin as a walk in selfridges do not sell to walk ins these bags and mini lindy on display will be for display only. If you was willing to buy expensive jewellery and they had it in stock at the back they may consider selling it to you.

Please let us know how you get on - there are 4 Hermes outlets in central London! As mentioned it would be unlikely to get a birkin/ Kelly but a high ticket purchase is worth a try if you want!

Has the above approach actually worked for anyone since the wishlist system was introduced though?

My old SA had someone trying to do this with her…
After she got out and wrapped up £8000 worth of goods like sandals… etc
The customer asked for a K then, when told that there was no stock and she can make a wish, disappeared on her saying she was going to the loo.
I just hope people would stop doing things like this

Oh dear :facepalm: Was this at Harrods? Agree that people shouldn’t do this but at the same time such advice/‘tips’ shouldn’t be given, which is why I asked earlier. The tactic might work in a country where the wishlist system isn’t in place, which is not the case in the UK.

Yep… it was my Harrods SA who’s now retired unfortunately.

I placed my wish back in Feb I think...(My SA confirmed it expires In September from memory) But nothing..
Ive requested a Kelly Retourne in 32/35 or even 40 but nothing yet-it appears all bags coming though are small.

Nothing on my wish list yet. Renewed in April for a second time. :sad:
even on the “share your 2022 bag offers” feels like there is significantly less B/K offers compared to previous years…

Nothing yet too and I created my wish around the same time as you. I have seen people on social media posting videos receiving their offers and doing an in store unboxing. My SA did say it can take a few rounds of wishes… who knows
