The £100 limit is on contactless, Apple Pay is uncapped I believe. I’ve certainly checked out for a Birkin without ever getting my credit card out of my wallet

Hi all! Long-time incognito lurker, first-time poster here

I was wondering if setting up a wishlist in London was as straightforward as wandering off the street and speaking to an SA or if it only comes up if you have an established relationship? I'm thinking of setting one up to mark a milestone and I while I have some purchase history (albeit modest!) I haven't previously been brave enough to ask for the details of any of the SAs I've dealt with. I'm otherwise quite happy to go for a direct approach...happy to hear thoughts from those in the know.

hi you can literally go to your preferred store and express that you would like to set up your wish. They will go through all your preferred specs and input the information on your profile. I just went in randomly, enquired the wish and then built my relationship with SAs in that store
I’ve heard some stores have closed the wishlist temporarily as they have too many requests - if this happens don’t be discouraged as it will open up eventually or you can try another H storehi you can literally go to your preferred store and express that you would like to set up your wish. Of course stock has been low in London, from my experience even RTW and shoes is difficult at the moment too. Chances for a Lindy is higher as it’s non QB and who knows you may be lucky! I'd say your chances are as slim as in Paris.
Mini anything is highly sought after and Birkins as a walk-in are highly unlikely especially in a small size.
You could walk into H stores and ask but I think its doubtful you will get an offer of a bag

Yes it is possible. I was very fortunate to be in that position 3 years ago just before covid. My wish was fulfilled and my SO came a month of so after. Both were requested about a few months apart.
But Im not sure right now. I’ve been waiting for my current wish for over a year now.
